Is it dangerous to get on the wrong side of Politicians?

I have known and dealt with many politicians in my life –especially in the SA environment – but also with politicio’s from outside SA.    The impression was  that it is dangerous for ordinary people to come near to their inner workings,   Especially do not expose state corruption.   All-in-all I was lucky they did not have me killed for giving evidence at the James Commission of Enquiry and  other negatives.  They did some nasty things in the 1980’s though –

*    They tapped my telephone for years

*    There was a weird break-in into my flat in Durban and the only thing they stole was a TV set – but the real purpose was to go through papers I had at home – the papers was spread out all over the floor

*     They had me followed by agents in vehicles without licence  plates

There was a  variety of reasons why it happened to me – and in the end they did me some favours.   The TV they stole was broken and I made a claim for a new TV from the insurance company  and got a brand new TV.    They put me on pension at the age of 42 years  and  I at 76 am still getting that monthly pension.

However, this is not my life story  - the above is just to illustrate when  you got on the wrong side of politicians and do not play along with their shenanigans where you may find yourself – dead or sidelined..

That leads me to an issue pertaining to USA politics.   There has been vague references  to something I have read  about  the  Clintons – but I may be imagining  things.    The story is basically as follows::-

*     Sometime while Clinton was  Secretary of State – she made an arrangement with the Russians and with the approval of President Obama 20% of the uranium reserves of the USA was sold to the Russians

*     In return for that favour an amount of $125 million  made its  way into the Clinton Trust

Is there any truth in that story or is it an urban myth?

There were indeed corrupt elements in the NP Government - at least 4 cabinet ministers landed in jail in the period between 1970 and 1994.  

The problem is there were institutionalized corruption dealing with the sanctions issue - but there were also low-level bribery and corruption.  Let me give you some examples I know personally about or even dealt with:-

*    I was working in the Department of Water Affairs in the 1970's.   Other than hugely incompetent sometimes on high level - there were so many low-level corruption problems that I had to help with solving cases working for six months on those virtually fulltime.

*    After that I went to the Department of Indian Education.   We were constantly on the look-out for possible corruption and was fairly successful in that.    There was not a single case of corruption in the Department - I should know since I was in charge  of budgeting, finance  and personnel control at the time.  Fact is I was the Advisor on Education Finance of the National Treasury at the time.    It all came belly up when Rajbansi - a protegee of PW Botham -  took over, hence the  James Commission of Enquiry,   

The situation never got totally out of hand as it did under the present ANC Government  though.  

I knew about "Muldergate" and the "Blockbusters" ....the latter involved police dynamiting shops and making off with the goods. They were caught but that one was neatly swept under the carpet.

You apparently knew what was published - but left SA  before the Ministers started  serving jail time.  

I knew more about the NP Regime than what was for my own good.   I still think they did not act more ruthlessly against me because of the major social standing  of my parents in the Southern Cape area.    They were very influential on political level as well, but in the end moved totally away from the NP.   .      

Very glad you survived Mike as you have been a great poster here even though there are times you disagree with me and get things wrong.

Mike i have mentioned Uranium ! many times here so am surprised you are picking up on it only now.

Peter Schweizer book Clinton Cash exposed all this and many other Crooked Hillary scandals where Clinton as Secretary of State used her position for pay for play activities. How the heck this most corrupt of all politicians is not in javl is astonishing but her days are now numbered.

She was presiding over the committee who sold 20% of US uranium reserves to Putin. The Clinton Foundation received $145 million from the Russians involved in the deal.

Also established is that dear old Robert Mueller was sent to Russia by Crooked Hillary which a case containing a sample of the Uranium.

An FBi informant warned the FBi of Russian attempts to get hold of US uranium resources. He wanted to testify to Congress but was gagged. Trump lifted the gag and he testified.

Yellow cake was found to be transported to Canad but after that nobody knows where it went. Posted at the time that US uranium ended up in Iran and the Russians were paid out of the 150 billion dollars the muslim President Hussein Obozo gave to his brothers in Iran.

Mueller and Rosenstein along with McCabe were the ones tasked with covering up the scandal. Remember this - America has to import uranium so why sell 20% of your reserves to Russia of all people!

There is a huge clean up necessary and its starting to happen. Trump is cleared and Steve Bannon said President Trump "will go animal" on these people. One hopes justice is done.
