After winning the majority vote in the Democrat caucuses in Iowa and Nevada - as well as in the Democrat Primary in New Hampshire the question remains - is Sanders a viable candidate to be the Democratic Party candidate in the USA? The first real problem is that nether he nor Bloomberg can in terms of the requirements for candidacy of he Democrats be regarded as meeting requirements set in stone - he never was a member of the Democratic Party.
Lets take a look at Bermie Sanders and his background and see what his conduct implies ad what his real relationship with Communism really implies.
Bernie always had a serious interest in the Communist dictatorships and his ideas was always in the Marxist economic theories. On paper the ideals of Marx was aimed at a wonderful life for everybody, but in practice it does not work out that well. The reason was that it was impossible to function without a command economy and depends on a bureaucracy that did not have the real expertise in managing the economy, It also relies totally on centralized control and totally depends on orders from the Centralized control system.
In the USSR there always was a saying that nobody would act on anything locally if there were no orders from Moscow. If they did anything logically they would be in serious trouble when the Moscow decision finally arrive - they would have been wrong and dispatch to the Gulug camps in Siberia would be inevitable.
So lets get back to Bernie Sanders. He got married in the 1970’s and where did he went for his honeymoon? He went to Moscow. That in itself was never a mortal sin. However, at the time it was not easy to get a visa to enter the USSR for anybody that would not be useful to the Communist Regime - I tried myself to go there in 1973 and was not successful , Bernie apparently had no problem in getting the necessary visa from the Brezhnev Regime. So why did they let him in if he was not a “useful idiot”?
As to Bernie’s further comments later on in the 1980’s he became an admirer of Fidel Castro and even on TV admired some of the Castro brothers achievements. However, the fact that they were in fact a Communist Dictatorship did not bother him at all. He expressed openly his support for Chavez in Venezuela – another Communist Dictator, However, the above incidents indicates that he always was a person firmly embedded with the Marxist Regimes, and can be relied upon to serve the Marxist policies to the tee,
Bernie and his supporters always refer to the Social Democrats in Europe as an example as to what is achievable – but the parties themselves said they do not believe in Marxist policies. They have expanded social security programs - but has built them on the back of a capitalist economic system. The fact is that Finland that used to be one of Sanders favourite examples vanished from his list because the same programs he advocates bankrupted Finland and the country is without a functioning political Government at present. Other countries whose Social Democrat Parties sent observers to see what is happening in the present US primaries themselves openly indicates that the Sanders campaign is orchestrated by elderly Marxists and youngsters from Universities brainwashed by Marxists at the Universities.
So where to now – the pro-communist stance is also being ridiculed as is evident from the following from the Babylon Bee site:-
“On Wednesday the Bernie Sanders campaign was disappointed to learn that the nearly $6 million in campaign contributions was donated in Bolivars---Venezuelan currency. When converted to US dollars, the Sanders campaign actually raised only $22.
The press marveled at how, in just 24 hours after Bernie announced his 2020 bid for president, his contributions reached such high totals. “The Bernie Bros are definitely the most passionate bunch in the progressive party,” said political analyst Doug Parson, “but typically they take other people's money, not voluntarily donating their own."
“It was quite the letdown,” said Sanders’ campaign manager Faiz Shakir. “That country hasn’t been doing us a lot of favors lately, but this takes the cake. Technically, we just spent our entire war chest on this morning’s parking,” he fumed.
The Bernie campaign did reach out to Comcast to inquire about how much commercial ad space $6 million in Venezuelan bucks would get them. “Nothing,” said a Comcast official. “But because we’re Bernie fans, we’ll give you a flicker. Remember those subconscious flickers in Fight Club? We’ll give you a few of those”.
At first, Bernie himself seemed unfazed by the news, apparently because he doesn't really know what things cost. “We can probably afford a presidential campaign on $22, right?” he asked his volunteers while waving his arms around. When an intern told Bernie her last Starbucks run cost about that much, Bernie briefly lost consciousness. Upon waking, Bernie softly whispered, “Blast that Howard Schultz”.
While Bernie has now learned $22 won’t go very far in America, he was upbeat about the shopping spree he would now get to take on his next trip to Venezuela. “I can't decide if I want to buy two slices of bread or a single potato!” Sanders exclaimed. Bernie has often said he likes to travel to Venezuela in the fall because that’s when the days are cooler and the food lines are the longest.”
The question remains will the average voters accept a President with Marxist tendencies and the answer is NO.
