Has there ever been a more blatantly , obviously comprehensively corrupt US president in the history of America, ???...probably not... And they're only just starting to scratch the sur face...

Perhaps it would be better to ask not what Trump is involved in that’s corrupt, but what Trump is involved in that isn’t corrupt.

Just consider the following brief roundup:

  • Trump’s campaign is under investigation for possible hidden dealings with Russia and a possible conspiracy to violate campaign-finance laws.
  • Trump's administration has been beset with a shocking number of scandals of various types.
  • Trump is currently being sued for allegedly violating the Constitution’s emoluments clause, since foreign governments are directing money his way by booking large numbers of rooms and holding events at his properties.
  • The attorney general of New York is seeking to have the Trump Foundation dissolved, citing a pattern of "persistently illegal conduct" that made the foundation little more than a scam devoted to self-dealing.
  • In October, it was revealed in an exhaustively documented investigation that Trump, his father, and his siblings engaged in a conspiracy to commit tax fraud on an absolutely epic scale, to the tune of hundreds of millions of dollars.
  • Trump and his daughter Ivanka Trump repeatedly misled buyers and investors about properties they were developing in order to acquire funding and pump up sales.

So there are allegations and investigations around Trump's business, Trump's personal taxes, Trump's campaign, Trump's inauguration, Trump's foundation, and Trump's administration.

We also see it in even relatively trivial ways, such as Trump charging the Secret Service hundreds of thousands of dollars to use golf carts to get around his properties when he visits there, or the fact that he has offered ambassadorships to four different members of his Mar-a-Lago club, all of whom have paid him six-figure sums in membership fees.

All this brings new meaning to the phrase 'trumped up charges'. The dems are finding allegations are easy to make.....harder to prove.

Why not charge Trump if they can prove it in court?   Any one of the allegations should result in serious reasons for acting against him by the Congress.

Much the same as the allegations about he Clinton Foundation - all allegations and nothing proven in court.   Beeno would flip a lid about what I write here - he has already found in his own mind that the Clintons are guilty of the same stories being circulated about the Clintons - yet nothing has ever gone to Court.

One example - who is suing Trump for "foreign Governments" issue?   Fact is it could only apply to the hotel Trump owns in Washington, DC.  The profits from running this hotel is transferred to the US Government  totally.   So what will come from the suing?

...notso clever mike Trump has been implicated in more than one crime. One felony being paying Cohen to commit a felony...so Trump's criminally liable for the commision of that crime.

but can they prosecute him...the majority of the legal community say no...and that the president has immunity from prosecution while in office,

...so charges have not been filed and might never be...the Dept of Justice's official policy is the Us head of state can't be prosecuted and Trump's appointees run the department..

Not really immune from prosecution.  Think back a bit to the Watergate scandal of the 1970's and the end of Nixon as President.

I do not think the US constitution allows for immunity for criminal activity by the President.   The Department is accountable to Senate and that makes it easier to proceed with criminal charges against anyone.

I think there was one court case recently involving Trump and the person who accused him of criminality ended up having too pay legal costs for making unproved allegations.   A nybody can lay charges - but the problem is that if they cannot prove them it can become a very expensive issue.

...the policy against indicting the president is rooted in a 1973 memorandum, written as Nixon was targeted in the Watergate investigation.

The president's responsibilities are "so onerous that a president , may not be able fully to discharge the powers and duties of his office if he had to defend a criminal prosecution" it said...

"The president is the symbolic he ad of the nation. To wound him by a criminal proceeding is to hamstring the operation of the whole govt apparatus."

So looks like merely by being in office a president can be above the law...

He is not above the law, the office of the president is protected from frivolous BS to prevent partisan  bitterballz to completely disrupt government...and a good thing too. Imagine what would have happened if it wasn't the case? Total chaos.

You are lucky that the photo of the US Supreme Court judges are not one of the SA Constitutional Court.  If the latter was the case and the photo was doctored - it could land the publisher in jail for at least three years with no option of a fine.

...no surprises here, yet more Trump Crime Family corruption and rampant fraud coming to light

..the Trump Foundation is being dissolved after Trump an alleged billionaire needed to rob and pillage the gifts made to his charitable foundation to fund his billionaire lifestyle..... a lawsuit against the faux charity continues

Trump to be banned from serving on boards of non profit organisations as a result..

The disreputable, potentially illegal behavior apparently doesn’t end with Trump’s own namesake charity, however.

Trump also allegedly used his son Eric’s charity to enrich his business at the expense of, wait for it, kids with cancer... another new low and more contempt for the rule of law..

such shameful misconduct tsk tsk..

...in a nutshell, the Trump Foundation was a slush fund established for the sole purpose of lining the pockets of the Trump Crime Family by deceiving and misleading charitable donors. There has never been a more deceptive company in the history of American business...
