No he hasn't...hate and envy insulted the fools...their own....STUPID!

Black Twitter agrees with Johann Rupert's controversial comments

Cape Town - While South African billionaire businessman Johann Rupert was slammed by the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) for being "racist" during a recent interview, many black South Africans agreed with Rupert.

The chairman of Swiss-based luxury-goods company Richemont and SA-based Remgro group was a guest on PowerFM's annual Chairman’s Conversations. The interview left South Africans divided on Tuesday.

Rupert was asked to respond to allegations that he was an apartheid beneficiary who was now a central figure of "white monopoly capital”. He denied that his father’s empire benefited from apartheid.

The interview took a controversial turn when he said he was born in a poor Afrikaner generation that built itself through saving instead of consuming.

 "That's the reason. In a sense, the Afrikaner was downtrodden. The poor white question, but they were driven. They studied like crazy, they saved like crazy. They didn't go and buy BMWs and hang around at Taboo or The Sands [upmarket clubs] all the time," he said.

While a large number of social media users condemned Rupert's comments, many people supported his views, especially with regard to financial wisdom and generational wealth.

What Rupert said about SA is true.   He is known worldwide as a top finance specialist.   He is  consulted regularly by international investors  and if he says yes they would invest - if he advises them not to there is no chance they would invest.  

Mandela realized it and was always bore in mind when he obtained advice from Anton Rupert Senior.   The latter was a very close friend of Prince Bernhard of the Netherlands, who visited him regularly at his house in Stellenbosch.   The Dutch Royal House has a major influence on financiers worldwide and a very high regard for President Mandela - who was one of their  special guests at the wedding in 2002 of the present King Willem Alexander and Queen Maxima.

When Anton Rupert died the Government representative at the funeral was Trevor Manual - then Minister of Finance.  

What these idiots in the EFF not realize is that the Ruperts originally and still make most of their money in foreign countries and have never had any contracts with any government institutions before and after 1994.    A recent case per example was a 30% share purchase by Richemont in the Alibaba Online Chinese commercial company.   The original owner of this company has retired and was at the recent investment conference of Ramaphosa - where no doubt the issue of "White Monopoly Capital" was raised by Alibaba and Ramaphosa spoke out against it.

Of the huge profits made by the Ruperts - mainly overseas - can nowadays be found in their shareholdings in major companies in SA and even though their shareholdings may influence certain decisions by companies, there is no indications that Johan Rupert interferes in the running of the relevant  companies.  He is accused of controlling ABSA  - but was actually more involved in Rand Merchant Bank and not really with ABSA

I am afraid the whole campaign against Rupert started when he spoke out against Zuma and from there the "White Monopoly Myth" originated.   It is being used as part of a hate campaign against all Whites by Malema and co.   

They have just plundered the VBS bank stealing more than R2 billion and they now insisted that the Government provided the back-up to cover potential losses by Blacks in the banks.   The easiest thing is to attack the other banks as WMC and hide their own looting.   They are afraid  that when the truth emerge they may all be in jail - hence the hate campaign against Pravin Gordahn and some other Ministers  who will expose them for what they are.

Zuma, Malema and their ilk is a blight on humanity. Too fcn stupid to be in leadership positions,  they only manage to be there, because they keep the masses uneducated. They only have hate and prejudice in their quiver,  without it they'll disappear...if Cyril is legit, they will be behind bars within his first term...along with a few others...if not, Cyril is crooked too.
