Stand by me is a beautiful song but I think it has more feeling and "soul" sung this way.

PS Cricket matches in Port Elizabeth were graced by a coloured choir at St Georges Park during matches in the past.

It created a good atmosphere and carnival feeling

 to the team's playing, strangely enough.

Loved the legend love the song.....but this message is about the commemoration of his passing rather than  his music.

Never was a Beetle's fan but this recording was one of John Lennon's best in my opinion.

Really cannot believe that it was 40 years ago that he passed on.
