One p f SA top singers past away this afternoon.  What a loss to the singer environment in SA.  May he RIP

RIP Johnny.
A legend. I enjoyed his music, his charisma and his African spirit from the first time I ever saw him play back at the old Free People's Concerts in my Wits days up until near the end when I saw what must have been one of his last concerts at the Pieter Toerin theatre at Montecasino about a year ago. He battled pancreatic cancer for some years and I hope he's finally at peace. A true great.

Sorry. Didn't see this thread. I'll pop it above mine. Got to see his farewell concert last year at the Dome. Sad day for South Africa. 

Nevermind, I see this is in the Trumpet. Oh well.
