It seems certain that Shapiro will be the Democratic VP candidate. He appears to be a much stronger candidate than J.D. Vance and has significantly better ratings.

Shapiro is a governor and has served as the District Attorney of Pennsylvania, unlike Vance, who is merely a bought senator.

Shapiro looks like a very strong communicator and gets points across easily. He seems smart and skilled in policy. 

His only drawback is that he is relatively new to the public eye with just a few years as governor, and is Jewish. Harris must want the war in Israel to end.

If this conflict escalates before the election, it could potentially alienate supporters of the Middle East position (e.g., those who believe Israel is taking the war too far) in the conflict against Israel. However, they are unlikely to vote for Trump.

US Jewish and US Muslims usually vote 70% for Democrats, so the key thing is just making sure both groups vote.

No Presidential candidate picks their VP for any other reason than winning the race. Vance is definitely not going to help the cause.

So Harris was picked for political purposes and turned out to be a management disaster.   Trump knew exactl why he picked Vance - he has links to the Teamsrters and they are collaborating with the Republicans in the eection - their leader even addressed the RP Convention.   That was hidden away by the media  - because they realize the implications or perhaps they did not..   

For the first time the buggest Trade Union in the USA through their organization are suppotinmg the Republicans and not the Democrats.   So what are the media accusing Vance of?   He is no idiot and does nt need teleprompters to deliver a speech or questions.     

In any event Trump never was a career politician - he is and was a business man and for him management is a key element.in selecting anybody.  Let me go back to 2017 whn Trump picked mainly career- polititans for appointment in cbinet poaitions - most failed in the management requirements and he had to replace them.  Onc bitten - twice shy.   Pence did not deliver any signifint votes to Trump in 2016 and as VP he was about as incompetent as Harris was iro of the  Biden idocy and Harris combined.

Each potential VP candidate had to submit CV's for considertion by experts in trhe field of Management and gradually most of them was eliminated,   The last four were Vance, Rubio, the Governors of North Dakota and Virginia - that was all over Fox News since  March 2024 - with about 15 ptential candidate mentioned,  

There are other posts to be filled as well and even political psitions in the Senate and the House.   I both cases the party leadership of the House and Senate will go to people like Curio and  the present caucus leader of the RP in the House,   There are a;so cabinet positions to be filled and again Trump has a wide number of top candidates available to be filled.   He does not want to see fr instance Youngkin be replaced by a Dmocrat idiot - he wants Youngkin to keep doing what he is doing in Virginia at present..   The same applies t oter RepublicanGoernors as well.

I think that political based opinoion polls are promoting the Harris presidency and easily manipulated.   The only really generic based poll is Rasmussion and they are normally very close to projected outcomes.   As an example the same system of generic polls was conducted in SA before the last election and the outcome was about 0.5% out,    At this stage Rasmiussen show Trump is leading Harris by 5%  and one will have to watch for future Rasmussion polls to see trends - but I think that Harris has so many negatives it will widen in the coming weeks.   .

A new poll from Scott Rasmussen's RMG Research shows Vice President Kamala Harris leading former President Trump by 5 points nationally 47% to 42%.

Independent Presidential Candidate Robert Kennedy, Jr. received 6% in the poll, which was released on Friday.

The survey was conducted with 3,000 registered voters from July 29-31.

"We don't know yet if this is a temporary bounce or the first indicator of lasting change in the race," Rasmussen wrote Friday on X. 

"A week ago, it was a toss-up (Trump 44% Harris 43%)," he added

Where do you get the Rasmussion polls fom?   Trump was leading Harris by 5 points - not the other way around.    

Rasmussen does generic polls as their counterparts did in te SA election and they were about 0,5% out in the SA election.    In the 2016 USA election it was the only polls that predict a Trump victory.   In the Virginia Governer election in 2021 - after Biden won Virginia by 10 points in 2020 - they predicted a Republican lead by 3% of Youngkin who  won by 4,5%.   All the other polls showed a lead by 5 to 10% by the Democratic Party candidate,          

I think Rasmussion was indeed surprized by their findings the margin was wider than what they expected - but since that pole two weeks ago  things did change and we will have to see what will happen in their next poll.\\
