There is now a serious question mark over the role of the FBI, the DOJ and the FISA courts. A large segment of voters have no confidence in their impartiality.
Sessions tried to tamp this down by appointing an internal review. That wont work, the investigator hasn't interviewed the key actors after many months.
These matters are so serious, the evidence so compelling that the role of these agencies does cry out for a Special Prosecutor.....with the power to properly investigate what happened.
On the available evidence it looks very bad. No information has surfaced yet that would even justify starting Mueller's investigation, let alone convicting Trump. And if this evidence exists, why taint the finding by going down the Manafort rabbit hole.
It appears very concerning to fair minded people.
