…apparently includes the ‘double tap’. The Wall Street Journal reports that some Norwegian medics were victims of this technique. It works as follows, following a deadly attack the Russians wait just long enough for the medics to be working on the wounded and then they follow up with a second attack to the same location.

Perhaps this doesn’t go all the way to the top, but the overall disregard for civilians which has characterized the Russian approach, certainly does.

From reports it appears they are going back to their WW2 tactics of just throwing mass untrained troops against the enemy and over run them in shear numbers, Russia is short on material now but got plenty of bodies.

Easier for them to replace people than the equipment.

Putin and his regime are the Hitler Brigade of the 21st century. Pure evil.

They always seem to relate their current wars to Napoleon and Germany WW2, but this time they are totally in the wrong.

Both these wars were won by Russia's retreating, the burning crop tactics and Russia's winter.
Defence more than attack.

They were the good guys against Hitler, but it seems to have made them too militaristic and nationalistic. They seem to be too isolated from the rest of the world, and being run by ex-KGB agents is hardily ideal.

We disparage our governments in the West, but we do have a proper process. Russia has never had balance of power, so one man can go off the rails and take the country with him.

Russia weren't the good guys in WWII, they were the lesser of two evils...supposedly.

As much as a million civilians died in the USA scorched earth policy in the Philippines 1899-1902

Not the good guys either.

@Mushroom-rover,

Giving examples of hundreds of years ago is pointless. Colonisation in general was wrong, but that was ages ago. This type of stuff should not be happening in the 21st century.

Hitler and the invention of nuclear weapons is meant to be a turning point, as it is no longer just fighting in an open field. The possibility to end the world, and all life on it exists now.

If all humans died, at least evolution would continue and new "intelligent" life would form. Nukes could screw everything up.

Have an American friend in SA

He trades Nasdaq 100 and SP 500 day trading. Former teacher on it and now just enloys our hours. He was in Seattle before.

Hardly has a bad day, just sticks to his plan, earns for the day and sleeps easy.

A company like Nestle is a good buy right now. Revenues are growing at 4% although earnings are down from 2021 because of inflationary driven costs.

But this is a great setup for a food company….they price to offset costs, but when packaging costs decline with oil for example….they don’t adjust down list prices and margins expand.

That said my BlackRock is up 327% since purchase. despite some dead end initiatives.

Mozart

Very glad you make money out of the trillions Black Rock invested in Communist China.

  • I quote from Reuters:
  • ‘It comes shortly after BlackRock launched a set of mutual funds and other investment products for Chinese consumers.
  • The asset manager told CNBC on Wednesday that its China mutual fund subsidiary set up its first fund in the country after raising 6.68 billion Chinese yuan ($1.03 billion) from more than 111,000 investors.’
  • …..Now Clever  to get a trillion you have to multiply a billion by a 1000.  And the investment in a Chinese mutual fund was in 2021 (long after I invested in BlackRock).
  • But do you see how ignorant your statement is….how did a billion become “trillions” in less than 2 years?
  • Every time you say something you embarrass yourself.

Putin's unequivocally as bad as Hitler & Stalin. Why so many god-botherers (predominantly right-wing nutters) enthusiastically support him remains a mystery to me. Fk 'em all.

I think it has to do with some South Africans feeling the West let them down and somehow they would get a better deal from Putin, Xi…hell even from Kim. Wierd!

The media is on the Zelensky train.

Those that employ critical thinking see through this smoke. Atheists are non-critical thinkers therefore they go with the media flow.

The common denominator seems to be religion. The South Africans, and people from other countries around the world that support Putin - all seem to be religious.

Putin has become the new Messiah for them.

Just wait for putin and trump have a baby together the religious nuts will cream themselves. Their 2 messiahs prodigy will tip them over the edge, though not sure how the homo side of things will sit (they will probably want to make being gay mandatory)

Presume trump was the catcher, in fact looking at him he looks 8 months pregnant already.

You heard it here first, God is arriving in human form next month straight out of the asshole of one of the two biggest assholes on the planet.

Then there is Mike that believes this ….it’s in the Rugby Section:

‘ Days before the Russian Invasion took place a follow-up meeting by the parties took place and the conditions of the 2015 agreement a follow-up meeting aimed at a peaceful settlement was held under the leadership of Macron.   When it seems a peaceful settlement was possible - Biden stated that the imminent Ukraine war would be the means to get rid of Putin as President of Russia.   That meant the end of negotiations on the issue, ’

….

These guys are seriously deluded.

What world do you live in RoomRover? Demons... Give us a break, ha, ha...
Have you considered that it is multiple demons with many people?

And let's clarify some facts here. You don't think. You have been brainwashed to regurgitate whatever some grifting church minister has told you... Copeland also believes in Demons, or he is just a grifter.

The fact is Mozart is in the midst of the USA propaganda machine and believe all the po-war BS cooked up by them.    Putin is a dictator - yet he is an elected representative of the Russian people - not a person elected by the USA to govern Ukraine like happened in Ukraine after the 2014 coup.   In the last election Putin got only 60% of the vote - the rest went to other candidates.   That is effectively no sign of dictatorship elections.

The problem is the Russian people are proud of their culture and history -  they generally came to hate the Communist dictatorship in the end.   The problem in the West is the media has an agenda to destroy culture and history as a means to break down nation states and create a borderless world.    Russia presents a opposite to that view and the aim is to destroy Russia as a country - hence the propaganda campaign involved.

The anti-Russia campaign were renewed after Trump came up as presidential candidate in 2015 and was based entirely on lies spread by the Obama Administration, the Democratic Party and in particular by the Clinton election campaign.

Mozart fails to answer any questions about the Ukraine issue - everything in favor of the idea of peace in Ukraine - is anathema to him.

By the way - what about the latest FTX scandal involving US politicians and their equally corrupt counterparts in Ukraine.   Why no comment on that one?

Anybody wanted by the FBI are assured to be opposed to their own politically support program to stop investigating of bribery and corruption by the Democrats.    In a normal democracy nobody should be above the law - least of all the FBI as a subsidiary of the Democratic Party and their crooked leadership.   Taking into account the history of the FBI in the last decade - them looking for Putin is a badge of honor for Putin.
