As a reminder, the US have been nothing else but liberal.
Good case to explicit how liberals operate to suppress minorities.
So the case is about a web site provider who managed to legalize discrimination. It is full of circonvolutions as by usual with liberals.
The main axis: trade.
So a customer trades money against a web site. Unless the customer orders an illegal thing, the government is not involved.
The provider of the website is instructed by the customer. No government is involved in the instructions.
The government issues laws (rule of law)
The trade agreement must comply with the laws. Unless it does, the government is expected to enforce the laws.
That is the situation.
Now on this case: the webprovider was aware of an anti discrimination law. She did not like it.
She was probably a Christian or something.
She had never received any order from the people she wants to discriminate against.
The right to discrminate against a minority was enacted through the famous freedom of speech right which is even unneeded exposed as meaningless.
The conclusion of the examination is that discrimination must be legalized or the government would infringe on the freedom of speech right and force the website provider to tell something she did not believe etc
Except it never happens. The government never coerces a website provider to tell something the provider does not want.
The situation again: a customer orders a website and instructs the website provider. The customer is the one who may be perceived as coercing the website provider (side note: liberals are usually not that inclined to admitting coercion in a trade agreement) The government is not involved.
The government is involved when the website provider wants to break the law. In a liberal society, the government is the ultimate enforcer of a law. The circularity at this stage is pointed out.
That is the government involvement at the moment of breaking the law that makes it a coercive force.
That is how liberals operate. Liberalism has nothing to do with minorities rights or whatever. It has to do with how a fragment of a population may put into shackles another.
