It seems that scientists have now confirmed that 10 000 years after the Mammoth ceased to exist... they will be bringing the Mammoth back from extinction, within the next 4 years.....
After this has been done, they will be released into the wild, somewhere in Russia.
However, this will not be the normal Mammoth as we knew it, it will be a hybrid Elephant - Mammoth, which as they say, will be a " Cold resistant elephant, that looks and behaves like a Mammoth".
Whilst this is ground breaking science..... I don't really know how I feel about it....
Should extinct animals remain just that, extinct.... or should bioengineering take the place of nature, and cross breed something to bring in a new species that nature never intended....
Something similar happened with the "Liger", but that animal also does not look healthy or natural... it looks too big for it's frame...
