The government lab in Maryland has just shown that the virus half life of 18 hours on surfaces at 70 degrees is cut to 2 minutes in sunlight. It also drops steadily with increases in temperature and humidity.
It is killed by alcohol sprays in 30 seconds and in 5 minutes for bleach.
Apparently no other lab in the country is able to provide this level of granularity. But it does provide strong support for those who believe higher temps will help and perhaps helps explain part of the outperformance by Florida and California..
