Look at the bigger picture. What New Zealand has done is successfully keep the virus out long enough until a vaccine was developed and administrated to large parts of the population. So yes even if Covid now takes off in New Zealand the death rate won't nearly be as high as if they hadn't implemented the measures they did.

New Zealand had more freedom than countries who lost control of Covid from the very outset. 
Fewer lockdowns and less damage to the economy, and of course fewer deaths and long Covid.

Also being able to live on a day to day basis without thinking about getting infected anytime there is a crowd like in a shopping centr e. That is freedom. 

Now that the vaccine is available, and the virus variant is weaker- New Zealand will get through this well. (Assuming no new variants don't become deadlier than Omicron). 

Plum - I think New Zealanders have had more freedom in 1 day than what you truly had without kidding yourself in your whole life time. 

They are not in lockdown at all - You need to actually need to find out the facts before mouthing off.

Instead of worrying about NZ - You should concern yourself about your own country.

Just another day in the best country in the world mate, sure we have made some small temporary sacrifices but if thats what it takes to save the lives of the vulnerable so be it, at least I care  not like selfish pricks who think they are the only ones that count and fuck the rest let them die.
