I was reading the comments on an article about freedom of speech and a student decided to write about Fascism.   In the first instance he said that Fascism is a system that embrace major companies and give these companies special treatment at the expense of smaller  businesses.   He said the present Administration is Fascist and that is according him worse than the case was under Benito.

This must be what he was taught at University is really total garbage.   Fascism and Communists are two offshoots from Socialism and the real difference was that the leaders of the two major branches of Socialism were intent in wiping each other out in WW2.  For the leftists who support socialism it was uncomfortable that Socialists could do what the Nazis and Fascists did.   So the Fascists suddenly became right wing extremists.

It is clear that what he wrote was total misrepresentation of the situation 0 bit it raises a question - how could things like that be taug ht at Universities in the USA?

Mike the USA is smorgasbord of excellence and mediocrity. A number of the universities are not up to standard. Virtually everybody goes to university so they  have to go somewhere.

But even the top tier are not uniformly impressive.  I taught for a year at one of the top schools and when grading papers often thought the kids wouldn’t have passed Matric in RSA.

But there is a tranche of very bright students and faculty from all over the world, who are at the cutting edge...the system allows both groups to exist and the differences are not discussed very much. But talk to the guys in Boston and they believe nothing between the Coasts is legitimate.

Which of course is an ill informed bit of arrogance....the University of Chicago has the 4th most Nobel prizes of all universities in the world....and it’s ranked 9th globally, while Northwestern in the northern suburbs  has ranked 17th since 2000.  No city outside the US...outside Boston, New York and Chicago...has more than 1 university in the top 20.

So you have to pick and choose.

Try to get your hands on Andrew Breitbart’s book, Righteous Indignation. Make sure you get the later edition, if possible. The one with the chapter named “Weinergate”.

In the book Andrew explains how the universities got infiltrated by socialists and communists and how Hollywood toed the line.

The Weinergate chapter discusses how he was involved in exposing Weiner and his sexual shenanigans. The same shenanigans that led to Weiner’s laptop being seized and Hillary’s emails being discovered on it and Weiner eventually ending up behind bars.
