Please read the following and tell me where you think the error is - I know it is fraud - but what do you think:-

"Pentagon spokeswoman Sabrina Singh said a detailed review of the accounting error found that the military services used replacement costs rather than the book value of the equipment.

She said final calculations show there was an error of 3.3 billion euros in the current fiscal year and 2.4 billion euros in the 2022 fiscal year. 

As a result, the department now has additional money in its coffers to use to support Ukraine as it pursues its counteroffensive against Russia.

“It’s just going to go back into the pot of money that we have allocated for the future Pentagon stock drawdowns," said Singh.

The Pentagon has repeatedly used presidential drawdown authority to pull weapons, ammunition and other equipment off the shelves, so that it can get to Ukraine far more quickly than going through a purchase process.

Based on previous estimates announced on June 13, the US had committed more than 36.7 billion euros in security assistance to Ukraine since Russia invaded. ".

What is it and why is it fraud.   The USA provided 2nd hand armaments to Ukraine - some dating  from the 1970 designs.      These armaments was originally valued at replacement value and the actual  expenditure is determined by what it costs to replace the weaponry delivered to Ukraine.     That was the  real value to be used as new expenditure,   Now the Pentagon called it an accounting error - they spent the full approved amount and now wants to spend more on armaments to buy replacement weaponry,    

Nice try - it entails money originally allocated for expenditure and approved by Congress,  The scam is that it entails a total expenditure and the fact is what the Pentagon now advertise is to use extra money to be spent.   A classic method to destroy legislative control of State expenditure.   The amount approved by Congress was  spent - now we want to spend more than allocated in other words the Pentagon wanted to commit fraud.     In fact what was delivered to Ukraine is not the real expenditure - what amounts to real expenditure was replacement costs.     Nice effort by the Pentagon to commit fraud to spend monsey amounting to unauthorized  expenditure..   An old trick used by crooked bureaucrats to spend  unauthorized  expenditure.  The Pentagon are always corrupt and billions are paid in the form of kickbacks.    Wonder where the  Pentagon got that idea from - an idea constantly used in Zimbabwe under Mugabe, 

How low can the Pentagon go!!!!!              

Mike my guess is that they are saying that they were allocated a certain amount to give to Ukraine. 

They then gave items to Ukraine and valued them at the higher replacement cost but should have valued them at the lower book value ie what they paid for these items. Hence they say they have not used up their allocation of what can be given to Ukraine. 

O f course one has to be highly sceptical of believing anything these scumbags say. 

They claim what they did was to give second  hand items to Ukraine.  - the total amount being $40 billion that being the amount. approved by Congress.   In other words they could only spend.   What they did was to give the 2nd hand arms to Ukraine and they then bought $40 billion worth of  replacement arms,    What they now want to do is to spend $45,7 billion to replace what they gave to Ukraine.- not the $40 billion they had Congressional approval to spend.   They are indeed scumbags - but you should know by now  is that any orders placed by the Pentagon includes an extra price hike to  allow for KICKBACKS to politicians and bureaucrats and then there also the standard corrupt allocation of work to for instance   Haliburton - which now allows for the operation of Haliburton in Poland.   You should know that Haliburton is the company in which Dick Cheyne had a majority shareholding.   Trump found out about the Iraq contract and publicly claimed Dick was indeed a  corrupt dick.   In Ukraine it was  $156 miillion dollars per year.   Cheyne's daughter rendered valuable service to the Democrats in the January 6 hearings so another similar contract had to go the way of the  Cheyne's.   Instead of operating in  Ukraine Haliburton is now operating in Poland.                              

The levels of corruption boggle the mind. 

Trust you have seen the Durham hearings. All the FBI corruption is being highlighted. Demonrats are on the run. 

Boebert has submitted articles of Impeachment based on the open border crises.

Shifty Schiff has been censored and referred to the ethic Committee. 

Could it be that there was urgency to provide the equipment and so existing equipment was sent. And then when that equipment was replaced, in an inflationary environment, the price move was more than anticipated? Gosh….how corrupt!

When I was in the navy and we returned to base after a long patrol, the excess food was ditched overboard by the permanent force galley employees…so their  quota wouldn’t be affected when we were provisioned back at Simons Town

Shock…..corruption.

Tell you what conspiracists, give me one credible lawsuit where a national politician has been convicted of kick backs on military expenditure in the States. The floor is your’s.

I was unofficially an advisor of National Treasury on Education finance and dealt and attended scores of Government Meetings on budgetary allocation on National level and know what responsible budget control means.   If Parliament or in this case Congress a budgetary approval (in this case $40 billion)   expenditure is limited to that amount and no amount of departmental manipulation can exceed that amount.    The money was not spent on arms purchased and sent to Ukraine - the arms sent to Ukraine was collected from US army bases and sent to Ukraine.   The actual money was spent on replacement of the arms donated to Ukraine - so the so-called emergency referred to was internal manipulation of expenditure - they never took into account the costs attached to replacement of the arms sent to Ukraine or worse still the prices charged was inflated t cater or kickbacks to politicians and bureaucrats - normal practice in the USA resulting in strong support for wars the USA became involved in.  

Anyway - real and competent managers would have done the replacement budget anyway.    After the early shipment of arms to Ukraine  it was admitted in Senate in September 2022 that only 30% of the arms delivered to Ukraine reached the fighting army - the rest vanished and probably was sold on the arms black market - so what was the great emergency that you referred to?     The Pentagon than undertook to sent a Colonel to ensure that the arms actually reached the fighting army.    Since then things went quiet for a while and  investigation found  that the Ukraine Minister of Defense was involved in the scam.   It got too near to Zelenskyy himself  - so Zelenskyy refused to fire the Defense Minister and fired the Commanding General of the Eastern Army where the brunt of military action occurred.   Sucjh a mov e would eb to the detriment of the army. 

Anyway there can be no excuse to spend money not approved by Congress - they know it would probably not be approved  by the House without a thorough audit of what happened - if the Democrats were still in control it would be approved without question - but with the House being controlled by the Republicans  they would probable demand an audit of where the money went.    That will probably expose the snake pit so now an accounting misrepresentation is discovered to spent more money than Congress approved.    The USA is no example for other countries - in this case they are as bad as Mugabe was in Zimbabwe or as bad as the ANC Government in SA is at present.   Corrupt to the core.         

It is either fraud or an additional case of "Fools running the ship".

Good heavens and they hold top positions in their departments question is just how long and deep do the Swampers go in all federal departments.

The once great USA is proving itself to be on the slide bigtime.

There is a very rigorous government procurement process that applies broadly for government purchases. Rarely is one person able to commit the amount, decisions are usually made by oversight committees. Which means if the pentagon budget is subject to corruption there has to be collusion among several or many  people.
