Have you ever taught any of your American friends the delight of potjiekos?
Mozart - Just a question, please
No not really Mike. But we have served boerwors, bobotie, melktert and Melva pudding with considerable success. I have an American friend who own a finance company who now supplies me with boerewors from time to time and loves it.
To be honest I sort of missed the whole potjiekos thing.
Will post a recipe for you to use if you want one - but it requires time to get the food ready. My mother used to have a coal stove, a gas stove and an electric stove in the kitchen on the farm and the best food - inclusive of bread and cakes - came from the coal stove. Same means in usin g a potjie involved .
Ou Maaik, serious question, what is the point of sending Moffie a potjie recipe if he doesn't have a potjie to cook it in?
That sounds like fun Mike....I can boil water but that’s where it ends. Fortunately there are other enthusiastic cooks in the family.
LMAO!
Mozart, Rooi is following you around the site and wishing that you respond to his childish digs.
Just like a fly on a lump of dung.
Poor fellow.........seeking attention once more.
