The Mission is right up there.....of the Vangelis movies I like Chariots. Of the oldies I like The Third Man, incredibly cool vibe.But Brazil in Brazil takes a lot of beating.

 Highlander and Student Prince.

It's amazing how Hollywood destroys...some of their really talented actors and actresses...Robert De Niros best performance by far apart from The Deer Hunter...I liked him in the old days but he has now turned into a foulmouthed scu m pond...the same I can say for Leo Di Caprio...from What's eating Gilbert Grape and Titanic...to the excessive foul language in his more recent movies is terrible...movies you cannot show your children or grandchildren...there is nothing good, strong and manly in foul language...people argue and say yes that's true but that's the way in the real world but it's really NOT true because men and woman never spoke like that unless they were low class or had respect especially in front of kids and women...and yes I was in boarding school and in the army and fought on the border in Angola but there's a time and place for everything and it's certainly not in the home when you are setting an example to wife and children...

but Shane takes the cake of all Westerns...I was was  two bricks and a half penny high when my favourite uncle took me in about 1958/9 to the Ahlambra in Cape Town to see this classic...I recently was able to stream it...the best by far...it was quite emotional to see something from such a different world...another I streamed was High Noon...awesome movie.

Yes Mozart they are awesome and definitely classics...Chariots of Fire is one of my favourites too.

Student Prince, Draad is a classic and yes beautiful.

Titanic has probably the best music of the 1990's but has been overplayed...it will too last decades and perhaps forever...when things are really good this happens but they come back because they are exceptional...that's really what classics are about...like good wine and antique architecture and furniture they get better with age...so do some of us
