Newsweek Fires Reporter Who Wrote Inaccurate Story On Trump’s Thanksgiving Day Activities

Posted this on a new tread as poor rooibozo needs to understand what a complete he has made of himself once again. Didn't want him to miss this.Who knows he may realise the MSM is making a real chump of him yet again!

How many ties will this gullible drooling loon continue to suck up all the BS the globalist MSM sends hvs way!

Uber-liberal Newsweek had President Trump just where they wanted him.

On Thanksgiving, rather than just enjoying the day, the editors and reporters at the once-great magazine that is now a pathetic rag decided to go after Trump.

“How is Trump spending Thanksgiving? Tweeting, golfing and more,” wrote reporter Jessica Kwong, who linked  to an article she wrote that speculated about Trump’s activities for holiday.

“As with any other day of the year, Trump will probably be tweeting, or expressing his opinions in another way. On Thanksgiving Eve, Trump tweeted an image of his head on the body of Rocky Balboa, the fictional boxer portrayed by actor Sylvester Stallone in numerous movies,” Kwong wrote in her story.

Oops.

It turned out that when Kwong was writing her story — and long after her editors had published it — Trump was flying to Afghanistan to meet with troops and help serve them a Thanksgiving dinner.

Trump enjoyed the misfire.

“I thought Newsweek was out of business?” he wrote on Twitter.

It pretty much did. The Washington Post sold Newsweek in 2010 for a dollar to a stereo equipment mogul, and the “news” site went full Never Trump.

Now, Newsweek has fired Kwong.

“Newsweek investigated the failures that led to the publication of the inaccurate report that President Trump spent Thanksgiving tweeting and golfing rather than visiting troops in Afghanistan,” a Newsweek representative told the Washington Examiner. “The story has been corrected, and the journalist responsible has been terminated. We will continue to review our processes and, if required, take further action.”

Ouch.

The article was rewritten, with a note added at the end that read: “This story has been substantially updated and edited at 6:17 p.m. EST to reflect the president’s surprise trip to Afghanistan. Additional reporting by James Crowley.”

Before she was canned, Kwong addressed the update on social media tweeting, “Trump headed to Afghanistan to surprise U.S. troops on Thanksgiving. Deleting this tweet because it was written before knowing about the president’s surprise visit to Afghanistan — an honest mistake. Story has already been updated, as shown in the screenshot.”

Gotta’ say, she’s right. She was fired for writing a story her editors ordered up, driven by their deep hatred for Trump (just like ou rooiBOZO). She wrote it, they posted it. Maybe the editors who assigned the story and posted it should get the axe, too.(Hoor HOOR!)

Unfortunately this is emblematic of the state of journalism today; they quite literally make up stories to advance their narrative which 9 times out of 10 is "Orange Man bad!" It wasn't until the last few years when I started seeing "anonymous source" in virtually every paragraph of every "news" story.

What worried me is when did the reporter know about the Afghanistan trip,   Seems to me it was before the departure or when the plane was in the air on its way to Afghanistan.   This was supposed to be top secret until the moment the press was allowed to file stories on the trip just 30 minutes before departure for the trip back to the USA,

Can the CIA be trusted to keep anything secret?         

Maaik, they amendment the article after the fact...and no, the CIA can't be trusted. Most of the "whistle blowers" have CIA connections. CIA=Deep State=Clinton=Bush=NWO.

Holy shit, Plum. I didn't know that he interviewed him? HTF did Joe manage that. I will have to watch it ASAP. I put Snowden, Assange, Brad/Chelsea Manning and the guy who leaked the Pentagon Papers (cannot remember his name right now) in the same bracket.

Then there is, of course Bill Binney, who has proven over and over again that the Russians may have hacked into the DNC server but that there was now way in hell that they could have transferred the files over the internet. His expertise was totally ignored by the Mueller Investigation, which we now know should actually have been called the Weisman Investigation. They preferred the word of the, dare I say it, Ukrainian company Crowdstrike that it was a Russian job. No evidence was ever produced. They said so, and that was enough. 

One can tell Snowden is being affected by whatever pressures his hosts are exerting on him. 

He seems a bit different. Or perhaps it's just the long format of podcasts in general as opposed to usually just being asked a question and having a few seconds t o answer.

Warning Cera. The first part of the podcast might be a bit boring and Snowden comes across as condescending. 

Don't switch off. The second half is worth the wait.

I'v watched about 34 minutes and so far he has confirmed a lot of stuff I already know. I have watched a long interview with Glenn Greenwald, the reporter who helped Snowden spill the beans. 

Greenwald is a very interesting character himself. He is in Brazilia nowadays. He is hugely anti Trump but he is one of the few similar reporters who has been saying that the Russian hoax as well as the Impeachment story is BS. He, Aron Mateo and Jimmy Dore has been saying that ever since the Russian story broke. Coincidentally all three of them were rubbished, by the MSM, as conspiracy theorists. Check all three of them on YouTube. I have posted a number of Jimmy Dore's clips and Aron Mateo features on his show quite often.
