A Nigerian Christian woman recounted the horrors of being savagely dragged by Muslim terrorists who stormed her village then forced her to watch her husband get butchered to death.
‘I watched as my husband was butchered to death’
Catherine Ibrahim described the horrors of what Boko Haram terrorists did to her family in an interview with Catholic charity Aid to the Church in Need.
Muslim insurgents stormed her village so she ran home to save her two children – 7-year-old Salome and 5-year-old Daniel. By the time she got home, the Muslim terrorists were already there.
Catherine said, “Then, one of the insurgents savagely dragged me, so I could witness my husband’s death. They butchered my husband mercilessly, and they made sure that I saw it all. I can’t forget the fear in his eyes. I don’t want to say more than this. I hate to remember.”
As if watching her own husband get hacked to death wasn’t devastating enough, Catherine’s children were then taken into captivity by Boko Haram.
Catherine says she was seized by Muslim militants as she searched for her children, but to her amazement, she was reunited with her kids in a detention camp.
The Jihadists then separated her from her children for weeks and tortured her by tying her feet together and her hands were bound around her neck — they tortured her until they drew blood.
Catherine never lost faith and continued to pray to God until she was released from the detention camp — she was reunited with her children three years later.
Catherine said, “Now that I am back with my children and mother-in-law, my joy knows no bounds. But my husband’s death – and having to watch it – will haunt me forever.”

It was recently reported on the Gateway Pundit that 120 Christians have been killed since February in attacks by a militant group known as the Fulani herdsmen who are mostly Muslim.
It was reported by church leaders that in the first half of 2018, a staggering 6,000 people had been murdered by Fulani herdsmen in Nigeria. The church leaders along with persecution watchdog groups such as Open Doors USA and International Christian Concerns have all said that Christians are being deliberately targeted in these attacks.
“What we have is a genocide. They are trying to displace the Christians, they are trying to possess their land and they are trying to impose their religion on the so-called infidels and ‘pagans’ who they consider Christians to be.” human rights lawyer Emmanuel Ogebe told CBN News in an interview.
