Juncker and Tusk look like they have already died. What decrepit, uninspiring leadership. These old men should be put out to pasture. So Britain gets a two week extension. In the meantime German manufacturing data looks awful in contrast to the dynamic scene in the USA. Europe in it's modern patsy mode is fading away.....it is competitively disadvantaged and asleep at the switch. A few reasonable concessions from the EU would have avoided Brexit and raised morale in this beaten down morass. But leaders like Tusk and Juncker were too hidebound......too ideological to take a practical step. The great millenial success story is dying out with whimper.

Mozart

There is a problem in the EU - it became the dumping ground for failed politicians  in their counties of origin - especially Germany and  Belgium - but also for other countries.  Tusk I believe is from Poland, where his party is on the verge of vanishing from sight.

These politicians are old-style socialists and believe they love mankind.   Nothing of the kind - they want their own army - in other words they want the armies  of individual members placed under their command - to do what?   NATO is dealing with defensive matters - so what would the EU army have to do?   Oppress unrest in membership countries? ,

Kindred spirits with the socialists in the US but less articulate. Their notion that talent, effort and ambition counts for nothing flies in the face of thousands of years of human history. The bold shall inherit the earth, and if the West wont do it, the East will.
