Paywall Process

Hi guys

Just some random information that might help some of you

I only recently came across this process myself, and thought it prudent to share it with some of you who might actually make use of it.

When you come across any article that is behind a paywall, you copy and paste the URL of that article to this website below

https://archive.ph/

You paste the URL of your article in the top Red section that says "My url is alive and I want to archive it's content"

The article then becomes available to read.

It has worked 90% of the time for me, just one or two articles or websites that it didn't work on.

It works on archiving web pages every few hours, and it will tell you when last it was archived.

If in the last two hours since it was archived, the article was updated in some way, you won't see the update on any information until a few hours later, when it archives again.... but it really works like a charm.

Hopefully some of you can get some use out of it.

That is useful, I will try it out.

I also find that if you copy and paste the Blog title into Perplexity, it grabs the data from the article in question and gives a write-up.

Just tested one or two more sites, it works on most but not all. Still really useful.

Yeah, same here, I had a few hiccups with some websites, but it did work with most of the ones I wanted to read, hence why I thought it would be worth sharing

Hell, these days, even if we can get to read 50% of all these articles behind a paywall, I'll take it.
