The easiest way to get an accurate number of deaths is to compare the number of deaths in April 2020 with April 2019 (or the yearly average for 10+ years of April vs April 2020). 
In the UK deaths are around double...
Coronavirus like the flue will undoubtedly increase the death rate of people with existing conditions as well, and therefore end more lives prematurely. 
When the flue goes around at the start of the next winter season, this effect will get worse because it will be the flue and Coronavirus- combined with exiting conditions .
