The constitutional amendments of 2020 are a set of changes to the Constitution of Russia that were proposed by President Vladimir Putin and approved by a national vote....

(That Putin probably rigged or ensured any credible opposition was silenced).

• Affirming Russia’s sovereignty over Crimea and Sevastopol, which were annexed from Ukraine in 2014.
• Recognizing marriage as a union between a man and a woman, and protecting the “historical truth” of the Great Patriotic War (World War II).
• Granting constitutional status to the Russian language, the Russian Orthodox Church, and the principles of social justice and patriotism1

• In fact that is BS.    The two term maximum remains in force - the only thing approved is that since Putin was not President in the period 2012 to 2018 six years - in case of the change the first team was to last from 2018 to 2024 and his second term from 2024 to 2030.    Putin will be 78 when his new term ends in 2030 and he is not going to follow Biden in that regard.   Countries need a lucid President - not a zombie like Biden.           

The election as to approval of the 2020 referendum on change to the Russian constitution was rigged and in the same year the election of Biden was rigged.   According  to a recent opinion poll in the USA 62% of the voters now believe the 2020 election was rigged.      

The problem is that 82% of the voters believe  that application of voters to register must include identification and proof of residence.   They also believe that vote harvesting af ter election is open for committing  of voter fraud.    That vote harvesting after election day is illegal - yet the Democrats fight like hell to not implement the wishes of the voters in that regard.   

Another problem was that a California Judge ruled that the California voters role should be cleaned up - proof was provided to court that thee are 5 800 000 voters on the Californoia that are dead or nobody knows where they are at present.    The response of the Newsom governeship was to pass a law in California that the names of voters could only be removed from the voters role with the permission of the voters concerned.   Just wonder how that would eb achievable with the circa 5 million dead people on the California role would be able to give that permission.

In Wisconsin  there are 150 000 voters registered with effective date of registation was 1 January 1918.    Bearing in mind  that the voters at that stage was to be  at least 21 years od the vters were borne on or before 1 January 1897 making them at least 127 years of age.   All those voters voted for Biden in 2020.    why is that allowed in the USA in elections?    Because i is a way to ensure elections can be rigged.     

Moral of the story - if the Russian was rigged - so was the 2020 Biden election in the same year.

By the way the media over the last year claimed that Putin was suffering from a mysterious disease and he is at deaths door.    Was that true as well?           .    .

As of my last update in April 2023, Vladimir Putin has served multiple terms as the President of Russia. His presidency can be divided into two periods. Russian law at that time limited the presidency to two consecutive terms, so Putin did not run for a third consecutive term in 2008.

Instead, Dmitry Medvedev served as president from 2008 to 2012, and during this period, Putin was the Prime Minister of Russia. In 2012, Putin was elected president again, and he was re-elected in 2018. Notably, the presidential term length was extended from four to six years in 2008, during Medvedev's presidency. This extension applied to Putin's subsequent terms, thus his third and fourth terms are each six years long.

Additionally, in 2020, Russia passed constitutional amendments that reset Putin's term limits, allowing him the possibility to run for two additional six-year terms after his current term ends in 2024. This means that theoretically, Putin could remain in power until 2036, should he choose to run and be re-elected.

In summary, as of 2023, Putin has served four terms as president of Russia and could potentially serve more due to the constitutional changes.

Thanks for the info - I should have fact-checked in this case.   In one thing I am correct.- the constitution of Russia was not changed - it still allows only for a two term presidency.    Incidentally what is happening  in Russia is exactly what happened in the case of Roosevelt in 1940.    Although the USA at the time of the election was NOT invovled in WW2 - the insecurity in the world caused the situation where h e was gioven a third term.   

The proxy Government in Ukraine installed by the USA  in 2014 caused  serious security concerns for Russia and the fact that the Zelenskyy Government is subject to the Biden Regime  in Washington created the Ukraine War.    The USA funds he full budget of Ukraine and if yu think taht the Ukraine is really totally dependent on the USA  without any constitution at all - the 1991 constitution went out of the window in 2014 when the USA appointed a proxy Government in Ukraine. and Zelenskyy decided there will be no election held in Ukraine this year.    He had no qualms about the issue since Ukraine si a protectorate of the USA 

How long  will this situation in Ukraine last.   The answer is not clear.   When Zelenskyy turned up in Washington demanding  money from huis USA overlords  - the Republicans said no  mre funding  for Ukraine until Border close the Mexican Border.    Biden lied about what the extra money required iro of the Mexican Borde issue.    He wanted money to help Mayors like the one in New York and the one in Chicago are demanding  federal money to care for tens and thousands of new illegals in cities all over the USA.    They get accommodation supplied to them - free education and medical services. - what Biden wants money for has nothing to do with closing of the Mexican Border control - but rather fr treating illegal migrants better than millions of US  citizens are suffering.

The Russian constitution had a limit of 2 terms, of 4 years each (or 8 years in total).

Putin has already been in office 4 terms and wants another 2 terms. 

And he has increased the term limit from 4 to 6 years.

When Putin was prime minister after being president, it was obvious he was the person in control.
So much so that  term limits were increased, and somehow Putin was able to get a 3rd term

If President Putin remains in power until 2036, as per the constitutional changes that potentially allow him to do so, it would result in a total tenure of 36 years as President. This calculation is based on his presidency from 2000 to 2008, 2012 to 2024, and then hypothetically from 2024 to 2036.

Putin will no longer run for election when he is dead but we can be sure he will in power until 2036 if he lives.
