Queen Elizabeth - how long before she declares appointment of a Regent

There is very little doubt that Queen Elizabeth did a wonderful service as Queen over the last 70 years.   She as loyal to the people of the country and the country itself.

Some two years ago she indicated that she is going to reduce her responsibilities and in the year she would be 95 leave those to Charles - but not anything connecting to the Church of England of which she is the head.   However, the funeral of Prince Phillip was a small limited number of family members affair, and she did attend the recent memorial of Prince Philip.

However, for the rest she never attended major Church services since November, when she did not attend the Memorial Service in November, or the Christmas service in the Sandringham church and is now not going to the maundy service this coming week,   

Will she remain as queen until death - like her ancestor George II did  - and has Charles acting as Regent in her name?  That could be the situation because she disliked the idea of abdication as happened in the case of the two Dutch Queens (Wilhelmina - 1948 and Juliana 1981) - the third one being Beatrix in 2013.          

That from our resident expert on the monarchy ….hahaha!

Ou Maaik, most on here will know that Moffie and I don't get on and I can count on one hand the number of times I've defended him or willingly taken his side, but Moffie has stopped his boasting, he has a good sense of humour, he is clearly intelligent and there's no disputing he is (or was) a successful businessman.

You on the other hand are a stupid, unpleasant, deceitful ex municipal worker with no sense of humour, no class and no education.

This site is a dangerous place for writing anything  from the media or factual history on site - not mentioning anything referring to yourself - it is regarded  as bragging by yourself.    I sometimes mentioned some countries which I visited (some repeatedly) and I mention my experiences there - but never bragged about anything.      That is enough to cause a flood of idiocy from he disgusting Mozart. 

Some of the commentators on site will  find it difficult  to indicate on any blank map where counties they fulminate about is situation and about history they know nothing - so beware of the BSters.

She appears to be suffering from mobility issues and the effects of Covid, which she contracted a few months ago.

It is very difficult for a very old person like the queen to get over the after -effects of Covid infection.     

Totally agree, Mike. 

I don’t think she was too poorly with Covid but it’s the after effects which seem to have left her exhausted. She’s a very old lady so she does well to be as fit and healthy as she appears to be.
