No - I do not think he should.   His relationship with Putin is icy and that would not change unless there are real negotiations on a new nuclear arms treaty and the close financial relationships between some senior DP members and Russia is dealt with (eg the Uranium 1 issue), because the latter leads to corruption and financial election interference in the USA. . 

Agree with CM but then again he did meet with the other half of the Russians......namely Obama did he not.

It would be a good thing if the US and Russia could work together on big issues, but at this stage it would play into the "collusion " narrative, so probably not prudent for Trump till after the election.

What Trump needs to do is separate Russia from China, Iran and North Korea. 

From what one can gather Trump would like a good relationship with Russia, the world's second biggest nuclear power. Trump as always shows great wisdom. 

What is so absurd about all this is how the Hussein Obummer admin were in cahoots with Russia. Tell Vladimir I will have more leeway after the election says Obummer. Then we had the Russian reset whereby American technology was handed over to Putin. There was the Uranium 1 scandal whereby 20% of US Uranium was sold to Russia and the Russians gave the Clinton Foundation 145 million dollars. 

Or how about Obummer supporting the Ukrainians against Russian aggression by sending blankets but no arms (Trump sent the arms) 

Or how about Obummer removing missile defence systems from Eastern Europe whilst of course Trump returned them. 

Then we have Trump scolding Germany for buying Russian oil the proceeds of which build the Russian military. 

We have Trump insisting on European money giving their 2 % of GDP to Nato

Trump has been firm with Russia but would like peace and good relation with Russia. Spot on. 

Dense has of course no clue whatsoever. Some things never change. 

Dialogue with Russia must continue. 

The bigger threat to the world than Russia and China though are the globalist elites and their plans for a one world government tyranny. 

They are currently hell bent on trying to destroy the  European nation states and the USA, Canada, New Zealand, Australia etc etc.
