Salt Lake City recorded -10 °C (14 °F) on October 30, making it the coldest October temperature recorded in the city since records began in 1874. Meanwhile, several areas in Utah recorded temperatures below -40 °C (-40 °F), closing in on some of the coldest temperatures ever experienced in the lower 48 states in the month of October.

.......

And today in Chicago we have 5 inches of snow.....in 46 years in Chicago I can't remember snow on the ground in October.

....

Global warming has now been hyped for  30 plus years. All we see is a benign continuation of trends which have been in place for centuries, like the slow decline in glaciers and slow, small rises in ocean levels.....with global warming doomsayers still flying all over the place and buying expensive properties near the ocean.

They couldn't pass a first grade test on the facts surrounding global warming. We have now passed beyond any questioning of this rank garbage, to just asserting that it's true.

Expect a flip back to man made global cooling.

Another Globalist hoax bites the dust.

That treasonous globalist snake Merkel admitted multiculturalism has not worked.

I just hope the traitors will be held to account.

The latest example of global warming....

This week's cold snap is only an appetizer compared with the main Arctic blast that's coming next week, meteorologists said. That freeze could be one for the record books.

"The National Weather Service is forecasting 170 potential daily record cold high temperatures Monday to Wednesday,” tweeted Weather Channel meteorologist Jonathan Erdman. "A little taste of January in November."

The temperature nosedive will be a three-day process as a cold front charges across the central and eastern U.S. from Sunday into Tuesday.

The front will plunge quickly through the northern Plains and upper Midwest Sunday, into the southern Plains and Ohio Valley Monday, then through most of the East Coast and Deep South by Tuesday, the Weather Channel said.

Climate is changing regardless of human input...climate science is not really in line with physics...closer to politics than science...Co2 and methane are the least of our problems...I can't believe so many smart people are fooled by this BS.

There are no problems whatsoever.

The EU says it will do away with fossil fuel within a decade, but at another venue they say they want their own army. I am not aware of any military vehicle propelled by electrical engines. Just imagine the current cold killing tons and tons of batteries. Ouch.

Draad, being smart is  not the issue. It is far more advantageous to get in line with the demands from the Climate Emergency gangsters, but if you resist, Antifa will take care of you.

Spot on Blikkies. This is the new religion....climate deniers are simply the heretics of old. The latest attempt to demand conformity.

Meanwhile there is this:

'The official low for Tuesday at O'Hare Airport was 7 degrees, breaking the previous record low for November 12 of 8 degrees - the coldest temperature ever recorded so early in the season. A record low temperature was also set on Monday, with temperatures dipping to 13 degrees.'

We have never hit 7 degrees this early before....but that's not the most dramatic stat. On November the 12th the temperature has always climbed above 28 in the 150 years of records.....today it never got above 19 degrees.

A record broken by 9 degrees.Imagine the hullabaloo if we broke a high by 9 degrees!

Temperatures in several major cities fell this week to lows not seen since the Taft Administration, shattering dozens of records as a bone-chilling cold front swept through the eastern half of the United States. As a punishing wave of January-esque Arctic air brought dangerously cold conditions, some cities had low-temperature records that hadn't plunged that low in more than 100 years.

Before Tuesday and Wednesday's jarring cold, many cities around the country had record low temperatures that were set in 1911. According to the National Weather Service (NWS), that storm shocked half of the nation with an incredible variance in temperature.

If global warming causes higher temperatures, what causes lower temperatures (i.e - global cooling)?
Is global cooling cause and effect, or just random.
If global cooling is not random, can its cause be explained with a stronger argument than that provided for global warming?
If it is just some random sunspot, we may as well just accept God is responsible for global cooling, or more varied weather conditions- and just forget about this. Although if God's sunspot is responsible, one would think it would be hotter- and not cooler.
Derailing the global warming premise could be reverse phycology conspiracies created by the corporations to take the focus away from man's effect on the environment like pollution and overproduction. (e.g. plastic waste, metal poisoning etc, etc).
Man can affect his environment as the ozone layer issue proved. Waste is increasing on land and in the oceans, animal populations are in decline - which is amongst examples of proof.
Historical records for changes in temperature do not go very far back. Thousands of years ago temperatures are just estimated that no one can be sure of.
Neither global warming or cooling can be proved or disproved conclusively- at least logically. However, they may both be real- and linked to each other.
More extreme weather fluctuations could be random, or they could be cause and effect from multiple changes man is making to the environment.
We do know that the earth is an eco-system, or at least if you accept evolution. Just screwing with the balance could be natures way to rid the earth of vermin.

Terrifying map shows the horror summer season ahead with scorching temperatures and extreme weather to ravage Australia - and experts say it's NEVER been this bad

Australia is staring down the barrel of a horrific summer season that will drag scorching temperatures and extreme conditions well into the new year.

Livio Remano has never seen such extreme conditions in the 20 years he has worked with the Bureau of Meteorology, comparing the long term seasonal outlook to a bad chest X-ray.

'It's horrible, it's a horrible map to look at,' he said on Thursday.

'I have never seen this before in my life ... the entire country of Australia is covered in deep red.'

That red colour means 70 to 80 per cent of the country is experiencing above-average temperatures, and is being blamed on something called an extremely positive Indian Ocean Diode.

Westerly winds weaken along the equator and push warm water to shift towards Africa during a typical IOD.

The wind changes allow cool water to rise from the depths of the ocean in the east, causing a temperature difference across the tropical Indian Ocean, with unusually cooler water in the east and warmer in the west.

It means atmospheric moisture levels drop in Australia's northwest, which alters the path of weather systems coming from Australia's west.

The result is less rainfall and higher than normal temperatures over parts of Australia.

Queensland is moving into its wet season but there is little chance of significant rainfall until January.

But eventually, Mr Remano says the rain will come.

Whatever rain does fall will be isolated and could cause more harm than good with the threat of dry lightning strikes sparking new fires.

'What we need is English rain, but it is not forthcoming - certainly not anytime soon,' he added.

The average global temperature next year (2019) is expected to be around 1.1C above pre-industrial levels, bringing it close to the record-breaking heat seen in 2016 when temperatures peaked at 1.15C above the 1850-1900 period used as a baseline for global warming.

Record breaking heat.....but half of this increase occurred before 1940, when the levels of CO2 had hardly moved. So in 80 years of dramatically rising carbon levels, temps have gone up by 0.55 C degrees. Not enough to dramatically change anything.

All these dramatic headlines of the earth burning up are just reflecting the kind of  extremes we have seen throughout history. I shudder to think what they would have said about the dust bowl today.
