Restore Britain

A new competitor to Reform UK has just been launched by Rupert Lowe. He was a former member of Reform - but was thrown out of the party last year. It was launched less than a week ago, and already a decent amount of Reform local counsellors are now defecting to Restore Britain.

Lowe is far more extreme on migration, and is talking about deporting millions quickly. Reform are leading the polls, but this will change in the coming weeks as some of their voter base is going to be lost to Retore Britain.

Lowe doesn't have Farage's personality and he's not going be pushed by the right wing media in the same way Farage and Reform are, so to be honest he's probably not going to have that much of an effect.

In effect Reform are the mainstream choice of the far right. Restore Britain is the fringe far right.

And yes Reform are indeed leading in the polls but have you seen in recent days the bookies in the UK now tipping Labour to win the next election.

Additionally, I think that Restore are going to be bigger than you think. Apparently, they have 70,000 paid members after less than 1 week. (This could be more than the Liberal Democrats have.

I think Reform's biggest appeal has been its anti-immigrant stance, but it seems to be moving more to the centre to win over moderate voters. Time will tell....

I'm pretty right leaning but Restore are so far over to the right than Reform its disgusting.. There is a danger of splitting the right wing and protest vote which would see Labour likely under Rayner or worse that imbecile greens leader, the tit hypnotiser taking the next election. Restore are ultra ethno/Christian nationalist and while those views may not be espoused by Rupert Lowe (in public), his followers on X have been absolutely vile with the anti Islam/Jewish and POC slurs. Also some of the numbers for restores membership maybe hooey as some member sign ups turned out to be Yanks and other nationalities. While some of Restores members and supporters may just be fed up of Farage bringing more Torries into reform, a lot are just absolute bellend bigots akin to the BNP and EDL. Restore are looking like a fascists wet dream.

What was funny though is when asked to identify a picture of Lowe, the general public named him as Prince Andrew, Peter Mandelson and Ed Davey.

I read the above story with interest, In essense the political situation in the UK is somewaht chaotic,

1. Labour is divided between the Socialists and the more moderate wing with the adminisration in chaos.
2. Conservatives are leaderless and without any distinctive policy - somewhat center
3. Reform is rightwing with some modeate policies,
4. Restore is far-right with racilist concepts creeping in.

For one mere and obvious reason: liberalism is not compatible with caring for the environment or stuff. Liberalism is the powerful engine behind the depletion of the environment. As there is no opposition to liberalism within liberal society, any ecological political project is a pipe dream and usually only liberalism dressed in another manner.
