Calling all wanderers! In preparation for the launch of Diablo IV on June 6, we must enlist your demon-cleansing services for one final task: Server Slam.

From May 12, 12 p.m.–May 14, 12 p.m. PDT, everyone can come to Sanctuary’s defense on Windows PC, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation 4—along with couch co-op for consoles and cross-play and cross-progression for all platforms—against the armies of the Burning Hells to help us test the durability of our servers.

PS: Reaper of Souls got a bit repetitive in the end.

PPS: Blizzard G ames are always Next Level.

It's the open-world PVP I'm after, Draad.

I like the farming etc, but Diablo 4 incorporates an open-world area where other players/teams can't hunt you, steal your shit, and T-bag you...

Trying my best not to play the beta, but I have pre-ordered the game and damn it's tempting. Kinda spoils it for me, so I "normally" avoid all betas if I know I'm gonna buy the game anyway.

Ja, and the Beta was apparently buggy and laggy AF.

I'll let you know when I get. It's a bit steep at launch...I'm on a tight budget these days.

As for Rooi, he enjoys being the way he is...and the reactions it generate from us, I should probably have stopped yelling at him years ago...ah well...

The beta was ridiculously good. Game runs very smoothly. 

Can't wait for the full version on June 2nd.

I played a bit with one of my lads...I recognized theRod Ferguson touches...lol...ladders and crouching through low doorways.

Rogue and Barbarian...and Druid/ Sorcerer...anything but Necromancer...the bloody nec minions irritates me endlessly.

Are you guys playing on PC XBOX or PS? Also if you wanna play a pvp/pve almost all open world (map limited) have you tried DayZ (stand alone V.)?

Official and Custom servers allowing for PVP, PVE and RP.

Diablo will be cross-gen though so all good.

Have you seen Division Heartland? It's similar to Day Z (PVEVP, survival, 3rd person, open world).

It should be pretty good too.

Is Red Dead Redemption 2 as good as people say... anyone played it?

Yeah, I played it. 

Very good for what it is. 

Lots to do in that game. 

Its physics makes for some hilarious stuff...

RDR2 is the king. One of those games where you often forget about the main story and just get lost in the world.

I suspect most of those physics stuff are in online. Never had wacky shit like that happening in the single player playthrough. Online is still pretty broken 4 years on.

The trouble with RDR2 is it becomes very repetitive in the same way as the Far cry series and Fallouts with defined objectives to complete. 

I love DayZ for the "it's your story". The objective is just to survive. Wanna be a fisherman or farmer in a remote area. Cool. Want to hunt deer, bears or wolves, awesome. What to live as a cannibal and prey on fellow victims, you do you. 

 Just know that someone is always trying to take what you have. 

I still enjoy RDR2 to this day. Nice world to just mess around in or walk through aimlessly even if you're done everything. Some scenery still makes you just stand and gawk. Not fond of PVP stuff myself, too many idiots online and I deal with enough of them in real life. Might check out Dayz if there's a solo or offline mode.

There are PVE servers or no kill zone servers where if your in say the south of the land there's no PVP.

PVE servers are probably the best to learn some of the intricacies of the game like disinfecting water for consumption or keeping yourself from getting any variety of illnesses,(cholera, salmonella and septicaemia are the more dangerous ones). 

I would suggest a non boosted community PVE server

So Plum, is it worth it? Is it fun?...the game, the story etc, not only the open world portion.

Was reading thru your thread and so many ads. Switched to Brave browser and ads gone. No ads on youtube too. 

I'm on Brave on the phone and laptop...it's quite a shock coming on here with Chrome every now and then.

Ping...Plum...or Rooi...or anyone else playing this....

I Played 1, loved II because of the LAN co-op...Liked 3 and it's expansions with 4P couch co-op...I see IV is only 2P couch co-op, but 2 x 2 couch co-op = 4P, so I'm kinda interested,  but my lads think it's a bit mehhh!!
