Ag please, if it was real communism there would be no money coming in. If you bothered to read your Marx you would find it's core principle is the Labour theory of Value....a street sweeper would earn the same amount as Ronaldo.
Of course even the Communists that the ANC so admired never applied pure communism. It was good for the masses but not for the Party Members.
And it failed horribly wherever it was tried, Venezuela being the latest example.
In fact soccer is played in many basket case countries. Whereas rugby is played in mostly successful countries. Kinda blows up your whole reason for posting.

How can Africans be so deluded. They are the poorest continent in the world, and things are getting worse. Each year the economies decline, but the population increases.
Why no take a look at the best economies in the world and try copy these, instead of persisting with a communistic big chief mentality that has proven a failure.
I believe that Africa must be recolonised by the West or even China, as this is the only hope to move forward.
The recent fiasco of Zimbabwe's rugby team not paying their customs duty to cross the border, then sleeping on the streets is so African....

With a world ranking at 74 & a pathetic 15th amongst African nations, the commies will need to do a bit more than promotional work . SA soccer stinks!
