America has the most weapons in the world, this is no surprise. You walk into a local supermarket and buy an arsenal. It is ridiculous, but bear in mind it is Republicans that want to allow weapons. 
The sensible Democrats want to move into a European model where weapons are banned. 

Just because I don't vote for the far-right party does not mean I endorse far-left-wing black people that destroy everything. 

America was very vocal during the Apartheid years in SA, but they are now starting to have their own race wars. 

The Democrat governed cities have some of the strictest gun laws in the states...and the smarter electorate if you can believe Snark and Rude...most bloodthirsty too if you follow the data...

Legal gun ownership has nothing to do with the issue - fact is  that guns used by criminals are normally stolen and not obtained legally.   So what are the reason for the murders and it goes back to the Democratic Party directly.   

The free-for all- murder scenario got another boost  in 2020 when  the Democrats used BIM and Antifa to riot and the latter two organizations used career criminals to do the rioting, looting and arson.    The riots were funded by the Democrats and Soros and were organized by the Democrats with support by the media and resulted in 45 murders, over 700 police injured and thousands of businesses looted and the buildings burned down.   Thousands  of arrests were made and the DA's  in only a few cases charged then and on the recommendation of the DA's fined and the rest was set free without criminal charges,  Where rioters were fined a subsidiary of the Democratic Party paid their fines.    Most of the participants in the riots were habitual criminals and what happened is the cause of the present mayhem. 

I mentioned DA's above and one wonders how that system works in the case of the Democrats,  Soros funds the election exp0enses of the left-wingers  to be elected  as DA's  to the tune of millions of dollars.   These people play a key role in enhancing criminality,    They refuse to charge people for theft of less than $1000  and has a policy to let  criminals free without setting bail - or if  bail it is indeed set -  the figure is ridiculously low.    An example is what happened in Waukasha a few weeks ago.   6 people were murdered through using of a vehicle by a BLM supporter.   He was freed on a $1000 dollar bail after attempting to kill his "wife"  by driving the same vehicle over her.   Attempted murder  is in any country a  serious charge - in Wisconsin it is not and the murderer was freed on a $1 000  bail the week before the Waukasha  murders.   Also aside for the $1 000 the murderer was a career criminal with a string of other charges in Wisconsin - but also a number of other States.   So Police arrest criminals and they are set free and  no punishment follows.  

Then there is a widespread campaign  to "Defund the Police"  within  the Democratic Party and the effect is that thousands  of policemen left the service.   The Police are not following up on the useless exercise to investigate crime since whomsoever they arrest will be back on the streets the next day.

Crime became protected by the Democrats and in that environment  of judicial irresponsibility  crime is increasing by an unlimited extent.     The problem is the extreme leftists have their own agenda and that includes to make the USA ungovernable and then introduce a state of emergency to be used  at political opponents and not criminals.       

Banning weapons will simply mean citizens are unarmed and criminals are armed because they will always find a way. Might work in certain countries with lower income discrepancies and decent socio-economic structures where crime is minimal. Never going to work in the USA.

Ban ownership of weapons, and then go after the illegal manufacturers and distributors with life sentences. It could take 30 years, or longer to implement, but if the weapons are illegal - it will be easy for police to start arresting people. Rome was not built in a day.

If a white person goes into public places and shoots down 100 people, what does this have to do with black people (or BLM). 
Any violent rioters like Proud Boys or BLM should be arrested- their cause is irrelevant because it is not law and order. One violent group does not justify the other. 

The reality is that many of the Republicans would still have guns- even if there were no black people in America. They walk around in safe public places with arms looking like tough guys.

They came in at the back end of the war after the Germans were basically held at bay by the UK, Canada , SA troops and the guys from down under plus the Russians.

The story about mass killings are also fables you read in the papers.  The last four major killings by using guns were in El Paso - by a registered member of the Democratic Party - in Ohio  where the killer was a supporter of Antifa,   California was by a Muslim fanatic,  Las Vegas - by a chap with links to the Phillipines  - the latter was the case with a music show where large number of people normally support the  Republicans were the victims.   Why was their nothing in the media stemming from the above?    Because the narrative does not support their ideology.

In the inner cities where most murders  happen - it is Blacks murdering Blacks  and Hispanics -Whites are literally rarely involved  and this story about Black and White relationships  is another propaganda story in the media.

The fact is that in the USA  murders are allowed by the Government in view of the Democratic Party attacls on law and order/   

The reason for the Amendment of the Constitution stemmed  from the UK attack on Washington  in 1812 - when Washington was burned down.   The USA did not have enough weapons to defend the country  and unlike the War of Independence when the Americans had their own rifles and the French provided military assistance - in 1812 decided to implement the second amendment  authorizing citizens to possess guns to stop a potential future similar situation.

Now 200 years later there are extremely strict gun laws in Democratically controlled cities and  States - yet the  main murders take place in those cities.    There will be logic to reduce gun ownership - but the problem is  that a large segment of the population - and that include also Democrat supporters - distrust  the Government policies  favoring criminals and the need to protect themselves.

The other problem is that since 2018 there were constant attacks on the US Constitution by the Democrats and it got worse when Biden became President.    The Democrats apparently are determined to undermine the Constitution and millions of people believe the object of the Democrats are to establish a one-party dictatorship.    The fact is many people believe they need their guns to defend Democracy in the USA.    The extreme  leftists  have taken over the Democratic Party and is determined not to lose power in elections.   

The matter is far worse  and the fact s the country is systematically destroyed by internal Socialist/Communist control of the USA  Democratic Party Government. .           ..

You must stop watching CNN and believe the leftist media.     The situation of division in the USA was started in 2016 and consisted  of  lies compiled by the Democrats themselves and then spread in the media - these included the Russian Hoaxes  and the attacks on Trump went on  viciously since then.

I beg to differ...I think significant,  but I might be wrong, mabe a slight effect,  definitely not zero.

You see Stav...I grew up with guns. I could use one safely as a kid...same with my brother and cousins and all our friends. Nobody I know has ever used a gun for nefarious reasons...there is nothing wrong with responsible gun use...we had it as a school sport, like archery.
