Russia invaded Ukraine simply to take its territory and permanently place it under the defacto control of Moscow , Ukraine is choosing to fight for its continued existence as a free and independent country, its no vessel and to say so is just plain insulting them.
And yes there may be a diplomatic end to the war, but that diplomatic end will likely be based off the outcome on the battlefield. After all war is often described as diplomacy by other means.

It's not a Russian narrative...it's facts...Only NATO support keeping Ukraine in the fight...weapons, money, tactical support and training...everything except soldiers on the ground...this war is much more serious than you think...I'm amazed you can't see it.

NATO supporting Ukraine via weapons, money, training etc isn't the same as being actively involved in a war and as I've made clear many times, Ukraine chooses to fight to protect its homeland and way of life, not because they are being dictated too by the west. There not being forced to fight by the west, but by Russia's brutal invasion. The war is deadly serious, but I amazed you can't see the dangers of allowing Russia to win.

Ofcourse I can see it...why do you think I don't?...I don't see them winning on the battle field. Russia is a nuclear power, throwing money and equipment at Ukraine won't enable a victory against Russia, it helps them avoid being run over, but that's a short term solution. Please explain to me how a victory on the battlefield will look and how it can be achieved with absolutely no threat of things going nuclear. I don’t see it.
How could a ‘victory’ be achieved? The Russian people develop a national sense of morality, feel the obvious shame for attacking a weaker neighbor?

Case 2, The Russian people get tired of seeing their kids being killed for reasons they can’t understand….more plausible.
Case 3…..the military are finally confronted with a sufficiently embarrassing event which precipitates a coup. If Kursk has some follow through…or the Russian army is forced into some major defeat, that could be enough.
Case 4 China can be persuaded to withdraw support or is embarrassed to continue its immoral support of Russia….pretty unlikely
Case 5 It drags on long enough that public opinion forces Putin to negotiate in better faith, with believable undertakings to support the status quo. Still the base case and one which has been incredibly successful in part, so far. Who would have believed 30 months ago Ukraine would still be on the field and even invading Russia.

Those are the alternatives. Negotiating when Russia isn’t ready to do so, simply sets up the next invasion. This man is capable of declaring peace and invading again 6 months later. What civilized leader would simply have killed Prighozhin after guaranteeing his safe passage.
If the West folds Russia gets the green light and China gets the green light in Taiwan. There are times evil has to be resisted. In the meantime honor the bravery of the Ukranian boys and be grateful your sons and grandsons haven’t inherited this task. .
Most of those solutions are not defeating Russia on the battlefield...Russia should be dealt with, I agree...and I'm not pretending to have the answers, I just don't see any current Western leaders as strong enough to force Putin into a corner.
