Some ignorant oaks were talking about a money being able to type the complete works of Shakespeare given enough time.

Well lets not get too ambitious oaks lets consider the probability of a Monkey typing a Sonnet.

What are the chances that monkeys will type a single Shakespeare sonnet?  Well, the smallest word in the English alphabet is “a”, but you need a space in front and back, so assuming that there are roughly 30 characters on a typewriter, that’s a probability of 30 x 30 x 30 , or 27,000.  Now, how about a sonnet? “Shall I compare thee to a Summer’s Day” is 488 characters long. There are 26 letters in the alphabet, so the probability of generating each character in sequence is 26(power 488). In base 10, that’s 10 (power 690).

Just to give you an idea how big that number is, there are only 10 (power 80) estimated particles in the known universe. There are not enough particles in the universe to write down the trials – you’d be off by 10 (power of 600).

If each particle were somehow converted into a microcomputer and did 488 trials a million times per second, the number of trials you get from the beginning of time is 10 (power 90). You’d be off again by a factor of 10 (600 power).  “Yet the world just thinks that the monkeys can do it every time.”

Again, this is simply 1 of Shakespeare’s sonnets, never the complexity of DNA or ecosystems, and it would be impossible for the entire universe converted to computers to generate it within the history of the universe

ENOUGH OF THIS NONSENSE!

They did try in Plymouth for 2 months almost... with six monkeys.

They returned 5 pages mainly with the letter "S"

The lead monkey began striking the keyboard with a stone and the other 5 began urinating and de facating on the machine.

Well if you trace your genetics back to AD zero there have been about 80 generations. 2 to the power 1 with your parents 2 to the power 2 with your grandparents, 2 to the power 3 with your great grand parents. 2 to the power 80 with  great, great etc grandparents who lived in AD zero.  Look up 2 to the power of 80 and you find a number so big, vastly more than the number of people on earth at that point. What’s the catch?

No it’s just a bit of simple maths. If you run through the permutations you arrived on this planet based on trillions of ancestors. The trick is many of those ancestors appear multiple times in your genetic lineage.

What is remarkable is how low the probability of your existence is…even if all your ancestors were in place 2000 years ago….go back 2.5 million years when the first humans appeared, or even further back to more primitive life forms….and the chance of you existing is a grain of sand on a beach. Any change in any of those reproductions and you don’t exist.

We have all won life’s lottery which is far less likely than winning any other lottery.

For pedo old crust Math's is a closed book. He hasn't the vaguest clue what these figures signify.

The last paragraph is the kicker when you consider the human genome is over 3 biuon letters long.

All Pedo OC  knows is that he is devoted to the Pedo demonrat party and to the Sniffer in Chief. His former hero Hussein Obummer is now being accused of being a full on homosexual.

I need to post the viral clip of Tucker Carlson interviewing Hussein's homosexual lover.

These are the people Pedo old crust support

Bwahahahahaha. Crash goes Pedo old crust.

Pedobeeno on the drugs again I see.

Typical sicko doped to the eyeballs and tries to string 2 words together (which is more than he can do when he is in rehab)

Care to share with us what 3 bioun actually means? What a pitiful example of the SA education system.

Hahahahaha. Our two nz halfwits in a complete froth.

I think they realize the Math's iis a against even if they don't quite understand it.

Pedo Old Crust is particularly unhinged. The poor zombie us reduced to commenting on typors. A sure sign a person has lost the debate. Debate may not be the appropriate word when relating it to a dumbass like old crust or even that weirdo Blobbrain.

I should post the probability Maths that relate to the formation of the simple cell. Blow their tiny " minds"!

By the way if poor blobbrain did the typing it be 10 to the power of 1000 BWAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHA

Peterhouse, St Georges College, Guineafowl, Plumtree, Prince Edward, Churchill...there were some really good schools in Rhodesia (Zimbabwe) when I was at school and at rugby and cricket.

Plumtree, near Botswana border actually beat Maritzburg College on tour.

 Beast went to Peterhouse.
