There were never any real charges laid and the fact is that the process was a political strategy by the Democrats to get Trump out of the way for purely political purposes.    All the evidence they really allowed was exposed as hearsay or for that matter what witnesses  assume might be the case.  The evidence would never have made it in any court case,  Then there was abuse of all legal principles in the House when it came to procedure followed in the case of Nixon and Clinton - no witnesses allowed other than what the DP allowed.   

Then there was a case where there was no vote before Schiff finalized his "hearings" and the famous whistleblower who suddenly disappeared from sight, who was supposed to be the first witness to be called, since that is where the whole strategy from the DP started with a pretended report read out by Schiff at a Committee meeting. 

There are two things that cause problems too,   The DP rushed the case through the House because of urgency and they sat on the Articles for 33 days - suddenly there was no urgency.  The witnesses story in the Senate was a farce - when witnesses was called in the past it was only to get clarity on evidence provided in the House already or when  further legal opinion was needed.

Fact is the Senate was not the body who framed he articles - the House was,   If the House wanted to call additional evidence they could have done it within the 33 days they sat on the Articles.   The Senate can only consider the evidence submitted by the House - nothing else. They used exactly the process that was 100% in line with the one used in the Clinton saga.  

What was before the Senate was total BS and the DP Senators realized it - that is why they wanted new witnesses.   A further problem for the DP was that in the process they threw Biden under the bus - the story about the family involvement in corruption in  Ukraine is now under  investigation and  not only the Bidens are going to be exposed - also a whole list of others, inclusive of Pelosi and Schiff and at least two Senators with Clinton also into it.    Problems ahead for the DP - in fact huge problems.  .

Sondland was a major contributor to Romney in his 2016 Senate election campaign and it was on his urgent request that Sondland was appointed as Ambassador.   He was obviously acting in liaison with Romney in the impeachment saga.   That was why I was suspicious about the Romney involvement in the Impeachment story.

Bozo is starting to unravel as the evidence of foreign collusion mounts against him in the Ukraine whistleblower scandal.

I've just watched him being "interviewed" but it was more of a rant about the injustice of it all and of course he went on about a new "witch-hunt" . . . but he was visibly shaken and - as stupid as he is - I think he knows he's been busted.

The only surprise is that it's taken this long for the incompetent and deceitful clown to make such a blunder . . . or should I say, for one of his blunders to come to the public light.

They wanted to question Bolton but never followed the route through the courts to get him to testify plus the one witness that they did got to court for they suddenly withdrew the subpoena.

Now you have to ask yourself why they made that decision plus they never allowed the Republicans to call their own witnesses and actually during question time by the Republicans to numerous Demorats witnesses old Pencil Neck intervened and told the witnesses not to answer the question.

Sure sounds like and looks similar to preventing the truth from being heard.

Big rush to get the impeachment passed in the house then holding up the process for 30 odd days in an attempt to put pressure on the Senate to adopt the Demorats schemes in the Senate Impeachment trial.

Fortunately, Mitch stood up to them and proceeded with the trial as per the book.

The Demorats never produced one bit of evidence of any wrongdoing or criminal activity but forwarded a half baked mountain of so-called evidence (fabricated) and then expected the Senate to call witnesses on their behalf to cover for their incompetent impeachment hoax and for the Senate to approve the removal of the President.

The impact of impeachment is ZERO without the finding be that he was guilty of offences in the Senate,   That impeachment story is way off the mark anyway.   Clinton was impeached by the House and the matter was kicked out by the Senate,  Nobody ever said that Clinton was impeached - because the effect was zero.

On this one you are just plain wrong. The House has the power of impeachment, not the Senate. The Senate holds the power of a trial, not the House. The House, and only the House can impeach. The Senate and only the Senate can hold the trial. The impeachment is effectively the charges in the trial.

Nancy Pelosi is only partly right, but the part that she got wrong, she got horribly  wrong. Trump will forever be a president who HAS BEEN impeached. He is, however, not impeached forever, as she would dearly like to believe because he has been acquitted by the Senate. He is no longer impeached.
