There has been no change in the temperatures in the Southern Cape over the past 8 years and this year was slightly cooler than it was in 2015 - while the annual rainfall remained statically acverage on a year to year basis at an annual average of 407 mm. In Natal, midlands and Pietermaritzburg areas the climate certainly has not warmed up at all, in fact the very hot summer days with violent thunder storms I remember as a school boy seem to be rarer and not as hot.

The danger was when politicians took over the functions of Scientists and start using so-called climate change that introduce extremely expensive infrastructure programs that in the amin would not meet requirements and thus destroy the economies of countries, I am over 80 years old and can remember the 1950's well - especially on holiday to Stilbaai. The weather waqs wonderful and it rarely rained while we were on holiday. - but what has since happened - constant rain and extremely winded conditions has ruined the holidays. Nothing happened so quickly dates were subsequently changed t changed to 2015 and later to 2023. The scientists and politicians involved never admitted they are wrong - all that happened was postponement of the dates of imminent disaster.
