In the statement made by Biden when addressing the nation on the issue it was clear that he has either no idea about what is happening on the ground in Afghanistan or has been lied to by his staff - it is likely that the former is the case. . . So lets go back a bit as to what actually happened in Afghanistan.
After dealing with planned agreements on the issue of withdrawal of foreign troops from Afghanistan on a planned basis there were only 3 500 US soldiers left in Afghanistan and the Taliban did not attack that small number of troops at all - they kept to the agreements in fear of the consequences of what would happen if they breached them. Another troop component did withdraw on a planned basis - they took out the troops only after the weaponry like armed cars and tanks have been withdrawn and the Germans in the area as well as the German citizens and Afghan people working for the German army has been evacuated from Afghanistan. Nothing usable as weaponry was left behind.
The USA left without even informing the Afghans about their withdrawal. For instance they abandoned the Bagram main US base in Kabul in the middle of the night and when the Afghan workers got back the next morning found the Americans gone and all the weaponry remaining on base.
So in his speech Biden claimed everything is fine the American citizens are free to go to the airport in Kabul where Biden and his army commanders sent in 5 000 men to ensure that the repatriation of US situations can gop to to be repatriated. All the US citizens and other people to be repatriated must do is to go unhindered by the Taliban and get transport out. That was a lie - the Taliban is going from home to home to search for US collaborators and when found they have been hanged. The people on the way to the airport are beaten up despite them waving the their US passports. According to Biden there is no need for the US to enter Kabul and save the US citizens and others from the Taliban.
However, there are also UK and German citizens in Kabul and what have they done were to send in a small contingent of special forces to Kabul and those enter the city to save their nationals - why can the US with more troops now in the country than when Trump left office, not do the same as the small number of UK and German special forces do?
Believe me the above prove that Biden has destroyed the image of the US in the world - even their close partners the UK and Germany acted positively - while he acted destructively. Any ally of the USA are in panic since the USA will not keep to its word and honor undertakings provided by the US Government.
