There are so many things in the Cape that are unique, charming or just stunning. The food at a place like La Colombe is world class and most of the hotels have a unique humanity you don’t find in Europe or the States.
What a pity the country couldn’t have settled on aspiration instead of corruption. What a pity they couldn’t have worked out a Hong Kong solution for the Cape. Even an area up to the first mountain range, left to it’s own devices, could have been hugely successful....and actually benefitted the whole of Southern Africa.
