In a letter to Pelosi he indicated that he instructed people not to appear before the House on the alleged Impeachment hearings and that the present proceedings are against normal House processes as determined and used in the past when Impeachment processes were implemented;

There are a number of issues here that needs addressing before a real impeachment process was undertaken in the past and where Constitutional Principles are involved:-

1.  There has been no vote in the House instituting impeachment,   This has always been done in all cases in the past, but has not been done in the present case.

2   In the event of approval being granted by the House a  Special Committee is normally appointed of members who would deal with the issue objectively

3    The present scenario is that there is no legality in what is being done,   The following processes are not legitimate at all:-

*   The Judicial Committee are instructed by Pelosi to deal with the issue.   The Chairman (Schiff) is compromised and has been guilty of lying about Trump issues in the past.  He also admitted that staff of the Committee or himself has not met with the whistleblower - which was factually also a lie - since he previously said that nobody met with the whistleblower before his report was made to the IG.   However, his tweets in August before the whistleblower report was submitted dealt with all the issues that came out in the whistleblower report was submitted to the IG - indicating that he knew about what went into that report.   The Chair of the Impeachment Committee should be fair and not display prejudice of which Schiff definitely not being impartial.

*    The fact is that the President is entitled to have a legal representative at the hearings and that representative has the right to question witnesses as well.

*    The Opposition Party - in this case the Republican Party - in the legal operation of the Impeachment Committee has the right to subpoena witnesses themselves and to question all witnesses.  This is not allowed to be done under present conditions.

The real situation is totally without a legal base and is likely to end up in court.   The fact is that the letter Trump wrote to Pelosi is in fact a challenge to the Democrats to start an approach to the Court about the issue.   That would be a messy affair for the DP and may end up in the Supreme Court,   Nothing is likely to happen over the next three months if they take the matter to court and it could even be delayed much longer if the matter is taken on appeal.

Anyway - we will have to wait and see what materialize over the next three or so months.   My guess is that Pelosi will not call for a House vote on the issue and try to get away with the present DP created system - more like a witch hunt and kangaroo court than a proper judicial enquiry,

Aside from that Biden has been openly called a crook by both Guiliane and Trump on TV channels in the USA.  His only response was to ask TV channels normally associated with the DP not to give the former air-time,   Why did he not sue them for Libel and claim many millions in damages?   Guess he is afraid to do so because of what may come out in such court cases will be his conduct as VP iro the issues raised.

Maaik, they are putting up a show for the electorate. They are creating the impression that Trump is dirty to validate their constant undermining of the presidency, hoping they could get lucky along the way.
