It was not even about peace, it was pacification so that US economical interests are not thwarted by Chinese economical expansion. It is very funny. There are many Africans on this board, yet none of them are interested in the destiny of the african continent. From the very day after the signing of the pacification deal, the Rwandan tyrant announced that it would be ignored, military action would keep going on. The result is so bad that even Trump has been forced to admit that the M 23 group still is acting in the area. See how liberal work: Trump had provided legal cover to the Rwanda ethnical cleansing while forbidding people from Congo to look for refuge in the US (UK is doing the same) So people are trapped. Which by the way has the merit of clarity: providing asylum to people you work on eliminating has always been perceived as a farce.
