The fact is that yesterday I had to go into Town to buy some essentials and get my monthly medical supply, The town is empty - and I think there was some panic buying earlier in the week leaving the shelves in Spar relatively empty. I asked the staff when they will get more foodstuffs since I have to schedule my purchases for the monthly supply of food and cleaning material on Tuesday and the staff claimed the delivery of fresh supplies would be today.
I feel depressed by the situation at present and am trying to keep my mind occupied by other things, but it just do not work out well. One wonders how long the lock down will actually be and whether at the end of April there will be any food on the shelves of the shops. The farmers are under lock down themselves and the vegetable markets and processing plants are also under lock down.
I do not know how people will survive once the food supply runs out and the shop shelves become empty. Depressing thought since everything is going down fast.
