Most of the internal wars in the Muslim world were between the two major sects in the Islam religion - namely the Sunii's and the Shia's. The Shia's gained autoomy in what is today Iran and Saudi Arabia and wa the cause of continuous instability.
All of the present separate countries in the Middle East came about after World War 1 when Brithish and French forces helping various organizations in battles against the ottoman rulers occupied and turned various countries into potectorates, Those included what is today Yemen, Saudi Arabia, Egypt and msot of North African countries and even for five years UK troops occupied Istanbul until kicked out by the Turks under Ataturk establishing Turkey,
British, French and Italian rue in colonies and protectorates lasted until the 1950's when a string of countries got independece and those countries include Afghanistan, Pakistan, India, Indonesia, Egypt, Libya, Algeria, Lebanon,Syria and Palestine under Jordan. During the period before and after WW2 a huge retttlement of Jews was established in what si today Israel. That caused continuous Was between the Jews ad the arious Muslim countries since 1948. The major problem started with Iran where the Shia faction reactionaries were supported by the leftists and iberals in both Europe and the USA supported the Aytollaha supporters in their violent overthrow of the Shah and then ther eal probems between the USA and Iran started with the new Government occupying the USA embassy and holding the USA citizen hosatge, The USA invovlement started in 1984 until 1989 when there was a war between Iraq - under Hussein and the Ayatollah Government in Iran. Hussein wa regarded as the USA main ally in the ME and they provided arms and other sasistance to Huseein as their man ally in the ME. The love affair between te USA Govenrment lasted until the Iraqi's occupie Kuwait - resulting in the first Iraq war in 1991.
In the meantime Iran becam te main sponsor of Muslim terrorism woldwide with supporting a string of civil wars worldwide, While the USA with the aid of their NATO allies atatcked and and occupied Afganistan and Iraq in 2001 annd 2003 respectively. Trump during his first term in office had to deal wth withdrawal of the USA from invovleent in ME country instability, With the consent of the NATO allies still active in Aghanistan a withdrawal of foreign troops ere agreed upon with the Afghan Government and the Taliban. The treaty signed by the Afghan Government and the Taliban was that the Afghan Civil War would end and a ruote to constitutional Government be establishe and Trump in negotiations told the Taliban that any civil war attack would be followed by airial bombardment of the Taliban forces. However, the Biden Presidency ignored the signed agreement and in panic in the middle f the night fled from Afghanistan in the middle of te night laving behind a massive amount of ams for the Taliban. It also paid $68 billion of aid to Afghanistan organized by the UN apapre tly to aid te hungry in Afgahnisatan - but in relaity to get agreemeent to evacuate American citizens and green card holders out of the country. Even the evacuation became a catastrophe with 125 000 people totally released on the behest of the Taliban entering the USA.
