The Lockdown and the poor

I had a very frightening experience this morning and was shocked by it - to say the least,   A Coloured domestic worker who twice a month works for me for about 5 hours per day and also work occasionally for other people as well, phoned me this morning and told me that she has no money for food and she and her children are starving.  She is not registered w ith the Labour department as a worker and gets no assistance from Government at all.  

I then took some meat from my deep freeze and some money for food and try to get to her house to give it to her.  On the way to her house all roads going into that part of town was closed and only one road was open.  The Police on duty at the road block tried to stop me and asked me where I was going.   I told them I am not going to be party to anything like starvation and eventually they allowed me to go through,

It gave me an idea of what effect the lockdown has on the poor - they virtually have nothing to fall back on.   This cannot go on - people will die of starvation if this continues,   In the meantime certain types of vegetables and manufactured food  supplies are running low even in outlets like Spar and Pick&Pay.   One day last week there was no potatoes and most other vegetables at all available in shops.   

What a choice - get the coronavirus or die from starvation?                      

The wheels of economy will have to start turning again. Make masks mandatory and enforce strict sanitary and social distancing rules, but get people working again. There is a massive crisis looming if we keep up with these current lockdown regulations. South Africa can't afford the luxury of staying in total lockdown for months like other more affluent societies.

Pakie, I  think ATM we are treading water to protect the middle class. I think tey are using the time to try and work out the best strategy for going back to work. The lockdown isn't really effective in the townships anyway...we'll probably be back at work in 3 weeks under very strict rules...there's no other way.

Mike spot on. Trump will open the economy from 1 May and set the way to do it to the world. 

The lying globalist media will slam him for every death. It's all very predictable and part of their obvious strategy. 

But Trump being the stable genius he is has a plan. He is forming an economic council to advise him as to the effects of the lock down on the economy and when to open the economy up.

The huge economic dangers of keeping the economy closed will be shown. They are far far worse than the effects of the virus. 

Some Democrat governors will want to keep their states locked down and in the case of New York Stse that may be justified. May I say. Other demonrat governors will want to keep their state locked down as lo g as possible just to thwart Trump. They will face a huge back lash. 

I will post stats showing Sweden and Brazil have less deaths per million than most countries. Japan has not locked down and is doing well. 

Mike the globalist media is in bed with China as they too are communists. The alliance between the globalists and communists is well established. Throw in Islam and you have an unholy Trio. 

The Democrat media is truly the enemy of the America people and are becoming more unhinged by the day. Watch for a post about a WaPo nutcase reporter. This people are clearly insane and attract only the most gullible silly people like poor sharkvirus. 

The Philippines have told poor people that are starving it is their own problem- if they step outside and they will be shot by the army.

CBS could have that one as a true story - I did not say they lie all the time.  Anyway the worst people in the world are all dictators and one can expect anything from them.   The problem is that the USA Democrats are all for a dictatorship and they would destroy the USA in the interest of a world dictatorship,   That is their aim and dictatorship leads to looting by the favoured few and they regard themselves as the elite and the rest as unnecessary obstacles to their grand plan.  The more people who dies the happier the elite lunatics are.              

What has been a new revelation to me is how Bill Gates is all over this vaccine story. His activities in India and Africa are shocking. This must be investigated.
