You got me wrong. The is no polticians I do really like and regard as knigts in shining armour as you put it, In my career as a public service I had a lot of experience in dealing with bribery and corruption in Government. I was for long periods of time invovled investigation of bribery and corruption in Government and for isntace had to give evdence in the case of bribey and corruptin in Government by the Steyn Cmmission of enquiry in he 1970's also also the James Cmmission of enquiy into poliical corruption in the 1980's.
If there is one thing I hate in life is bribery and corruption in Government and it was prevalent in the National Party Government in SA as well. That put me in a position where in 1984 the SA Government in 1984 passed a law that allowed the Governemtn to put Public Servans on early pension and I was the frst person in SA to be put on such pension under that law in SA. So I was the first person to be put on pesion in terms of that Law in SA to be put on such pension. They were in a fix - they could not fire me - snce the meda and he courts would have a field day on what would come out in court if they do. So at the time I was 42 years old and I celebrated my being a pensioner for 40 years in August this year.
I was one of the younest Under-Secretaries in Government in SA and was on the point of being promoted to Deputy Secretary when a corruption scandal became exposed n the Department where I worked at the time. I afterwards went to work for local Government in the then Municipality of Ballito and because I distrusted public servants I was one of the people that promoted services of Government being concessioned to private enterprises such a water and sewarge services - as well as other Municipal Services in SA. Examples of hat beng the concessionig out of water aand sewerage serices of the Muicipality - as well as refuse removal and dumping. it was the first watr and sewrage services conssession in SA and is still functioning as the best water and sewerage service in SA.
By 2000 I was Secretay of the Municipality of the then Dolphin Coast Municipality where I was employed until the Rugby World Cup in 2007 and I applied for leave due to me to go to France in September-October 2007 and told the Municipaity I won't coming back to work on return from France. It was during thatime that I met Mbeki on trhee occssions and was sed to promte muicipal development oncepts in SA.
The Municipality did not want that and they in the end covinced me to remain on contract ith them for a urter 5 years unti I was 70 years old in 2012. Rather strange - but it did happen n a period when the ANC was in full mode to replace White employees with Blacks. I can remember at the tme when Zuma was elected as President of the ANC I spoke to the local ANC Mayor and told him the selection of Zua is the worst ting possible for the Party and the Government of SA. He told me that the ANC would have means to control Zuma if he gets out of hand. Zuma became SA President in 2009 after they got rid of Mbeki as Presdent. By then I met with Mebeki three times and it became clear that I became the target of the enw Government as well. There definitely was corruption rife in the SA Government when Mbeki was President - but no indiation of Mbeki's own links to corruption.
he difference beween SA and the USA was that the SA media was involved in exposure of Government Corruption on a daly basis - int he USA th main stream media was invovled n covering up Government corruption. In South Africa Zondo - then the Deputy head f the Constitutional Court did a good job in getting rid of Zuma and even got him a jail sentence of two years for undermining te work of the Zondo Commission. Ramaphosa was not a knight in shining armour - but te stench of th Zuma Government was so bad that in the end the ANC lost majority support n SA and we now have a coalition Government where it is not yet clear whether corrupion has been dealt with decisively - but maybe it ould be less obvous and blatant n future,
That brings me tt te USA siuation encountered since the time of the Obama administrtion to date. It was clear that the Government system under the Democrats and essential the Biden crowd was corrupt to the core and corruption was not confined to only the Democratic Party alone - there were also Repubcan politicians involved. However, the difference was that in the USA the political coruption was mostly in the Democratic Pary and media protected corrupt and incompetent Demcoatic Party leades such as Clinton and Biden - while the Republic Party got rid of corrupt politicians in their midst - sometimes slow in that regard. It is in the case of the Republcans a slow process thouh and hy still have people like McConnell in the Senate - but they got rid of him as leader of the Republican Party in the Senate and he will be ousted as Senator in 2026. O'Connell has a cosy relationhsip wit Bide and protect him as far as possible and to protect him from invetiogaion of his corrupt conduct a VP and as President President.
So in essense te Government system in the USA became more and more corrupt and there are a protection racket in the DP that prevent proper and legal invesstigaions in the USA. The Jusice Department and FBI protect corruption by politicans like Biden, Clinton, Pelosi and Schiff being investigated for corruption.with evidence being exposed on a regular basis and the media censoring news on it and the Democrats covering it up.as well it has reached a bad situaion. .
I do not like or instance the assassination attempts on Trump that are beginning to look more and more like a CIA project that caused Trump be missed the shooter by more or less 2 ntmeters becase he turned his head at a crtcial half a seond when Trump turned is head and the Bullet struck his ear, The second attempt last week was even more worrisome. - it was an obvious organzed attempt to murder Trump. You tell me how an unemployed construction worker with no real resources travelled the world after spending five months in Ukraine and visit travel to countries like Iran, Pakistan and other counries sponsoring terrorism to recruit solders to fight for Ukraine in the present war? How did he end up at the Trump golf course spent 12 hours waiting for Trump to arive at the 5th hole.from where he woud be a 100 meters away wher Trump wold be playing on the date in question. Trumps life was saved when through an opening in te vegetation saw an AK 47 leaning against the fence of he golf course and started shooting at the person involved. He fled and was then arrested by the Florida Police, The accused has two choices - he can try and lie himself out of the situation or like an official already stated he can expose in whose pay he was for the last year. He is likely to die like happeed in the Kennedy case in 1963 before he could cause damage to the institution behind the second attempt. Florida officials clearly stated it was an organized assisanation attempt - so who was organizing it. I am sure that guy will not live much longer.
So will there be further assassination attempt on Trump before or even after the election? To my mind it would be inevitable and that will again show the level of poltics in the USA. Trump himself is no angel either - but the threat he posed to the banana republic conduct of the present ruling party is real and his life expetancy in danger because of it.
The USA shoud have a similar Cmmisson of Enquiry like the Zondo Commission in SA to at least attmept to stop polirtical and bureaucratic corruption in the USA - but the Democrats are fighting like hell to prevent it from happening. Why is the spending of the USA Defense Force not being audited since 2003 and why are funds prvoided to Ukraine not being audited as well? Ukraine has been the most corrupt country in Europe and is now even worse than it was after 2014. Tump tried to stop the rot in 2019 and that led to him being impeached by the Democrats. He refused transfer of billions in cash to Ukraine because it ended in backhanders to US politcians and in the end bought the arms the Ukraine Government needed and delivered to Ukraine. Obviously that did not work s well if what happened and exposed in Sepember 2022 in the Senate when when Defense Department officials admitted that only 30% of the arms deliveries reached the fighing army in Eastern Ukraine and a US Colonel was sent to Ukraine o clear up the ensuing mess.
In the end I msy be a pessimist - but f the Demcrats continuing by their present conduct would be the end of demoacy and honesty n Government in the USA - especially since the main media are supporting the present situation. . . .
