A year ago the FBI raided the home of Senator Menendez - one of the kingmakers and most influential Democratic Party Senators. He had he reputation of also being one of of the most honest DP Senators.
The FBI found cash stashed in envelopes in boxes in his house to the amount of over $500 000 in his house ab=nd a number of gold bars worth even more. They did nothing about it knowing that the money and gold bars came from three Egyptian businessmen operating businesses in New Jersey and acting in getting US Government Aid to the Egyptian Government when it came from financial aid by the US Government to Egypt. As Chairman of the Senate Foreign Affairs Committee he signed off on approval by the Senate of financial aassistance to Egypt in terms of standard Senate procedures, The FBI had all the info they needed to arrest Senator and charged him and his wife with serious bribery and corruption charges - but for mre than a year did nothing about it.
There were a number of reasons the Justice Department did nthing about acting against Menendez on the issue of bribery and corruption. Those are the following:-
Similarity between the Biden and Menendez bribery and corruption activities
So what is the differences between the activities of the Bidens and those of Menendez. Basically there was no difference between the two. However there were differences in methodology.
Joe Biden set up circa 20 shelf companies operated by the Biden crime family - some even in the name of fake owners Biden used as names to communicate with Hunter on "business" issues, Bribes were paid into the Bank Accounts of those shelf companies from where the money was laundered to Biden family members, The laundering activities were reported to the FBI - but they did nothing about bank reports on the issue, .At one stage Joe and Hunter Biden had joint bank and credit card accounts. Those accounts were closed in 2021 when it became exposed. An interesting exposure in the Hunter Biden Laptop contained an e-mail to his sister in which Hunter complained that his father took money out of accounts and get up to 50% of the bribes paid by foreign companies. That while the bribe allocation was supposed to be 10% to the "Big Guy" - Joe Biden.
The Egyptian Issue
While the Biden's are up to their necks in bribery and corruption in China - there are no official aid packages to the Chinese Government - the Wuhan laboratory issue aside was based on payments made to the Wuhan Laboratory was not actually foreign Aid based. When the situation really got out of control in Egypt and the religious leadership control became disillusioned by the actions of the new Government the army took over control in Egypt Obama put sanctions on Egypt. The sanctions lapsed when Trump came to power. The Biden Regime has gone rogue in the ME and the Abrahamic Treaty signed by Israel and most of the Arab countries were voided by Biden. That together with the role the USA played under Obama in uprisings in the ME and the potential of the radical elements in the Democratic Party when it comes to ne countries ended up in Egypt, Saudi-Arabia, the Gulf States and Iran joining the BRICS alliance and Turkey being on the list as potential members as well. That means that Egypt is off the list of potential aid recipients and the potential to get brubes from Egypt vanish from sight.
By 2019 Trump became aware that political and bureaucratic corruption to US Aid projects and he froze all payments of Grant Aid to all countries to allow the Treasury to submit proposals on what can be done to eliminate it from happening. As part of that process Trump decided to buy arms in the USA and sent those arms to Ukraine and not to pay the Ukraine Government $1 billion in cash. That hit two of the most corrupt politicians in the USA - Pelosi and Schiff - very hard and they engineered Impeachment Charges against Trump. Needless to say the measures taken by Trump went out of the window under Biden and the norm of corrupt kickbacks to politicians and bureaucrats in Washington are in full swing again.
Why the Sudden exposures on Menendez
First of all there were strings of exposures by whistleblowers on how the Justice Department and FBI protects the Biden's when it came to bribery and corruption and there was always the potential threat of exposure of the Menendez issue as well. Aside from Egypt joining BRICS that Egypt is regarded as a loss course by the USA and further Aid to he country was not an issue anymore, the decision was to bring the Menendez issue to light.
The very real problem Garland came to light as to persecution by the Justice Department and FBI of opponents of the Biden Regime cause panic by Garland about being impeached and the Menendez case was now brought to light to counter the Republican allegations in that regard.
Whether there will be any chance of Menendez being found guilty of a criminal office in court is debatable. The Justice Department is bound to bugger up the case and even if found guilty Biden will pardon him before he sees the inside of prison. The DP is a hornets nest of corruption and they cannot afford a fellow corrupt member going to jajl. There is also the certainty that Menendez knows about the corrupt activities of other Democrats and for them there are only two options, namely -\

* a Clinton suicide.
