‘ The younger generation - and I include the Russian speaking Medvedev, Sverev, Tsitsipas and Rublev in that category has for the time being threatening to take over the lead in tennis and 2022 is likely to see the real departure from the game by Federer and Nadal and the decline of Djokovic in the rankings.

‘The other matches were rather below what is normally expected from Zverev.   Nadal is doing well enough - but he will not get past the quarterfinals.’

‘ I am going to go radical tomorrow and my Superbru selections are;-

Shapovalov, - beating Nadal

Sinner           -  beating Tsitsipas’

‘ The worst tennis match I have ever seen.  Nadal won because Shapovalov made mistakes when hitting his slow and poor returns out many times in a match where at least 70% of the games led to deuce is a joke never to be repeat1ed again.   It was not a question of asserting himself he just lost because of his own mistakes - not good play on the part of Nadal.’

‘ So the final is going to be between Medvedev nd nadal and if Nadal manage to break Medvedev once it will be  world miracle.   The last Russian Nadal played in a series was in Monte Carlo where he lost 6-2,4-6,6-2 against Rublev.- the pace of he ball caused him to lose the plot and I cannot see anything different in the final on Sunday.’

‘ Congrats to Nadal - he thoroughly deserve the win - even though medvedev encountere an injury in the third set - who in the end had an impact on the result.   ’

It’s been going on for ages, this before Rome last year:

“ Rafael Nadal

What can one say - of somebody told me that by middle May Nadal only won one tournament 2021 I would not have believed him or her.  Nadal is horribly out of form this year    He was beaten in the Aussie Open quarterfinal by Medvedev, In Monte Carlo by Rublev and in Madrid by Sverev.    His only win this year in Barcelona  against Tsitsipas was due no doubt to match fatigue of Tsitsipas.    Will he make it in Rome?   I will not put a cent on that.”

What's funny is our two resident septuagenarian coffin-dodgers spending all day every day telling everyone how stupid the other one is and hoping that their childish one-upmanship makes them appear clever.

Two peas in a pod . . . but neither one willing to admit it.

LMAO!

So you go on about the big 3 - who are they.  Was the win by Nadal also a clown win?   I think the win by Bublik was even a greater surprise than the win by Nadal.

The Big Three? The three players who have won 18 of the last 20 Majors. And 61 of the last 75 Majors. The guys you constantly pick to lose.

Mozart - the farce on site.

All the quotes is what actually happened over the last near to a year - and you live on Cloud 9 with no real insight into reality.  That means you8 are totally deluded as per normal.   Even Djokovic and Nadal publicly said they are past their prime and said so openly in media reports - but for you that does not count anything - but then sport idiocy have always been your norm.   Federer effectively has not played any tennis over the past two years and is unlikely to play tournament tennis again.   So lets get it straight - donkeybrain - the three were GREATS OVER THE LAST 20 YEARS - nobody disputed that - but to keep harping about them as present tennis greats are retarded brain action.

5 of the last 6 majors have been won by the Big 3….and 6 of the last 6 major finals  have been contested by the Big 3 and they aren’t current tennis greats?

Over a period of 31 years - but in all other tournaments they did not do well.   Fact is that  tennis is not confined to the Majors only - it is a sport played on international level by the APT 1000,  ATP  500 and APT 250 tournaments.   So players must have a good record in tournaments throughout the year to claim to be the top performer on lower level too.

Just as with golfers like Woods and Nicklaus….it’s all about majors. Nadal and Djokovic don’t care about the other tournaments. And it’s a different game, Nadal would have lost the Australian if it was a 3 setter.

Like it or not, tennis history is judged by the record in 5 set majors.
