A few months ago the Washington Post, the New York Times, CNN and most of the TV Channels went ballistic when a 16 year-old school boy (Sandman) together with other children on an education visit to Washington was accosted by a group of protestors. They did nothing and all Sandman did was to look at the protestors even when they virtually pushed a drum one was beating into his face, The issue was given by the media as an outrage committed by Sandman.
It was so outrageous that a lawyer representing Sandman started claiming damages from the media. The first claims were against CNN and the Washington Post. An amount of $250 million was claimed from CNN and it was clear that they had no chance not to be forced to pay damages in a court of law.
Now CNN has decided to pay damages to Sandman - but the amount was not disclosed. It is likely to be not less than 20% of the amount claimed - but that is guess work.
So what is to happen now - the claim against the Washington Post is next in line and they are likely to try and reach a settlement as well. Next in line would be the New York Times and at least 4 other cable news channels. By the time all is ended Sandman will be an extremely wealthy lad and so will the lawyer representing him be.
Shows again what BS the Democrat supporting press comes up with. The politico's accept that they cannot claim for defamation of character for the media lies and distortions unless they have gone too far overboard and there is one $300 m illion claim from House Member Nunes going forward against CNN - who lied about a trip to Ukraine which never took place,
