Africa is more communist... I doubt even Socialism would be this bad. Although even communist places do not have this load shedding. TIA- This is Africa...

Socialism depends on the same negatives as Communism - excessive usage of incompetent and corrupt public servants, excessive regulations that increase incompetence and crookery to get around them and the sickness pf excessive government involvement in the negatives mentioned.A typical example was the Obama Administration - they issued thousands of cumbersome regulations and the DP House members earned massive amounts on advising the crooked entrepreneurs on how to circumvent the regulations. That being said the method to enrich crooks was stopped when Trump dumped virtually all the Obama regulations and the House members lost out on their how to get rich schemes - they never forgave Trump for that.
People do not realize how artificial regulations and rubbish enlarge an already cumbersome staff complement in Government Departments and how that waste public money.

Well, Mike as some would say it appears that things are on the UP and UP in Donker Afrika a steady and reliable 6.5 hrs is beyond everyone's expectations.

You can look at the definitions and there's a difference between the 2, but in practice, it's the same bloody thing...even feudalism is much better than either....imperialism too, provided that you don't get an evil emperor. Democracy with a stupid electorate will always gravitate towards some form of socialism...and fail in the long run. You can't reward slackers and hard working people the same.

Yeah, I agree...a benevolent despot is better than a "democracy" which in truth is never practised and in fact cannot be practised because all mankind is totally incapable of integrity...especially the selfish masses that always envy those that make it and are productive in life.
French philosopher Voltaire said after or pre French Revolution that " He'd rather be ruled by a Lion than a hundred Rats."
Now that's insight and wisdom stated centuries ago and mankind still has not learnt...and he was talking about Europe not Africa which is 200 centuries behind.
The white man should never have come to Africa...the Shaka's, Dingaan's and many other chiefs of savage tribes would have sorted the worldwide problem out in the only language they understand.and they would be happy that way. They never really wanted the white way of living and the population would have been kept in check.
We messed up the whole process...I think God wanted it that way...we misrepresented Christianity.

There are various political systems around the world, but they still have electricity 24/7.
The common denominator is African governments. Just not willing or able to be good rulers. The focus is on earning quick bucks for themselves, and anyone else is irrelevant.
It is just returning to a Zulu tribe with a big chief, his lackey minions, and the have not's. It is not a system that can grow a village or town, let alone a country.
Cement roads will eventually become dirt roads, just like what happened in other areas such as Port St John's which were once run by the first world. Maintenance will be neglected until all man-made structures are gone.
Electricity lines will disappear and other advancements from the outside world such as the wheel. In time, all who are left will be running around in animal skins once more, tying animal guts around themselves as trophies.
