As a Canadian veteran I am disgusted with my disgrace of a government. My father and his brother fought their way from the beaches of Normandy and Sicily across Europe and into Germany in order to rid the world of fascism. They are both probably rolling over in their graves. The Liberal Party of Canada is doing their best to destroy our once great country.
As a Canadian, I can't believe that everyone in the house of parliament stood to give this guy a standing ovation. He was introduced as a man that fought the Russians in WWII. Unless what I learned in school is total crap, Russia was our ally. The allies did not fight the Russians. Canadians know that Trudeau and friends are total boobs, but of the 338 MP"S in parliament not one of them was on the ball enough to say " Wait a minute, he fought the Russians. The Germans were the ones that fought the Russians not the Canadians" All of the MP's in the House stood up and cheered this guy.. Not one had the brains to say : Wait a minute, this is wrong" There are no excuses for any of them. Just shows you how much trouble Canada is in.
There was no accident because the Speaker in his speech said: "He is Canadian hero. He is Ukrainian hero. Because he fought Russians during 2nd WW". Since they knew he fought against Russians (Soviets at the time) then they knew he was Nazi. They just never expected the backlash.
They not only killed Poles of Jewish heritage but killed ethnic Poles too,please don’t forget. As a Polish American I am hurt and offended that no has made reference to this. My parents lived through this horrible time in history in southeastern Poland and experienced these horrors personally. These Ukrainian nazis and banderarites burnt my grandparents house to the ground and were responsible for my paternal grandfather’s death. They sent my father at the age of 16 my uncle and aunt to a slave labor camps where death was lurking at every corner. My father would tell us of all these horrible stories and he would say with the despicable nazis at least you would get a bullet to the back of your head but these vicious Ukrainians would torture you to death sadistically. As my extended family still live in Southeastern Poland they extended open arms to the Ukrainian refugees after these transgressions.
