It seems Trump is going up in the ratings again, with Kamala going down.

Trump's economic policies (in theory) must be appealing as it could see more jobs return to the US, and less globalisation (outsourcing service jobs and manufacturing jobs).

He is proposing that all imports (products) be tariffed which "may" also reduce need for income tax.
It is being positioned as a way to boost US manufacturing making local products more price competitive against imports - like a form of protectionism. So in theory it would create more local jobs and drive up wages.

However, other countries will retaliate as this is not part of the agreed global open trade agreement. Although many Americans may not really care less if Big Tech or the Fortune 500 etc profits decline from decreased sales. Even if GDP declines and their wages increase, it is not really a big thing.

Trump was always in favor of compatible trade practices.   If a country level iport tax of US Products such a country wil have to pay inmport duty iro exports to the USA,

He also pposed the fac that US companies who exported jobs to oher countries must pay tax on the produce they imported from such countries.

The Trump idea is simple - up US production of oui; and gas and ban imports,   that will force down manufacturing and transport costs and orce down inflation.    The othe fac is that doing that the US will ave money to augment budgetary costs and help the struggling people to survive.

I have translated your last comments

Donald Trump supported trade policies that ensured fairness. If a country imposed import taxes on U.S. products, he believed that the U.S. should reciprocate by taxing imports from that country.
- That is not what Trump is talking about. He is saying all countries will be charged an import tax - even if they do not charge import tax to the US

He also opposed U.S. companies moving jobs overseas and then importing products back into the U.S. without facing any penalties. His solution was to tax these imports to discourage offshoring.
I can't see Trump doing this.

Trump's strategy emphasized increasing U.S. production of oil and gas and reducing reliance on imports. He believed this approach would lower manufacturing and transport costs, which in turn would help reduce inflation.
The US is producing as much oil and gas as ever- more actually. Had more been produced, it could have helped flood the market and weaken Putin who is dependent on a high energy price.

Additionally, he thought that by saving money on imports, the U.S. could allocate more funds to support its budget and assist people facing economic challenges.

That was part of his campaign message at Rallies Really, what he wants to do is allow billionaires to get away with paying no tax and try to dump this onto the international market.

While, many of these ideas have merit in terms of reducing globalisation and boosting jobs in all sectors, not just professional services- Trump is not interested in anyone but himself. Sensible conservatives can see w hat simpletons can not.

Respected economists believe that Trump's policies could cause massive inflation, although it is hard to believe many of those economic people as their work seems to be sponsored by private interest groups etc. Many Americans would doubt these experts as they are looking out for corporate interests ahead of anyone else.

Bullshit SB
wh3ere did youget those asumptions from?
By the way why is the US importing oil if they prduce as much il as you claim?    Why is the strategic oil reserve at its lwest level in 1946?   Why is perto; priices in the USA inreasing?   You must klearn one thig - there si a differenmce between lie propaganda and fact.   The stats givwn out by the Biden Administration is totally false and should be seen for wat it is.   The latest case was they claimed millions f jobs was created and it nw came out it was a lie.   They claim crome is down and anyone belieiving that is criminally insane.

Trump favored policies protecting US industries opeating in the country -  the billionaires hate that and their hate campaign in the media is  limitless.
How do you know Trump is only interested in himself - have you any proof of him enrichinmg himself through bribery and corruption the Biden Admsnistration and top Democratic Party politicians do.    He never took his presidental salary and had  donated it  to welfare projects and he pad profits derived from his hotel in Washington when used for intenational negotiation to the State Deaprtment concenred,   .
The experts should explain hy Bden fruitless and corrupt expenditure is not affecting inflation/   Trump will suspend the Global Warming BS until real roof of the poblem has been properly investigatied and he will reduce the bureaucracy - and not spend money on useless public servants and non-endinmg wars.

Neither of us is are in the US, so we have to rely on media reports.

Provide your sources, and I will provide mine.
