Around 58% want to rejoin. 32% do not want to rejoin, and the rest are undecided.

2 ways to get the rejoin vote up to 80-90% would be:

A) If the EU becomes protectionist, it will be worse for UK trade with its top trading partner. Then it makes more sense to rejoin. That is worth 10-20% extra votes to rejoin.

B) Improve the illegal immigration problem, with more deportations. This would be a joint exercise that would require EU membership. That is worth 10-20% extra votes to rejoin.

Then it is a done deal.

Burnham's really got the right wing media frothing in the UK at the moment with the talk of PR and potentially going considering going full hog and re-joining the EU. I think it will happen, but not before 2030 but probably before 2035. I can see them getting the same deal they had as before. The main problem I foresee is that while the EU want's the UK back it's concerned then if they take them back in 10 and 20 years some Farage type clown will lead another campaign for the UK to leave.

You will never get the re-join vote to 80-90%. The right wing media in the UK which makes up the majority of it will always push an anti EU narrative.

I've no idea why you are saying if the EU becomes protectionist, it is protectionist and has been for a long while.

As for illegal immigration as you call if it is improved again I don't see that it make much difference. It has notably improved this year but did anyone notice?

Lord Cadogan: "We were also consulted as to the correct manner in which to approach the French. Something we just can't allow to happen... going cap in hand to the Frogs, of all people! Simply out of the question. A simple matter of national dignity, Liddell. Being a patriot, I'm sure you understand."

We can put an EU flag on his grave. The UK gets along with France nowadays, that is outdated stuff.

Humor Shark, something the UK has apparently also lost along with its identity, in the Woke cloud. The little men in Brussels will probably ban humor soon as politically incorrect in any case. Glad I sold my apartment in London when the pound was worth $1.60

Indeed the French and the English have a lot of common ground now in laughing at the Yanks. I bet the Londoners are equally glad your gone.

@Stavanger1 Not as glad as they would be if the pound was still worth $1.60 and my apartment was not occupied by a large Kuwaiti family. And it’s ’your’e’ gone moron. What an uneducated Mick you are.
