The following is the situation todayz:-

President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin held a 2-hour call on Monday in what the U.S. said was a push to get Russia to end its deadly war in Ukraine.

Both Trump and Putin described the call in a positive light, with the Kremlin chief saying it was "frank" and "useful," but it is not immediately clear what results were achieved.

Trump took to social media to praise the call as having gone "very well" and said, "Russia and Ukraine will immediately start negotiations toward a Ceasefire and, more importantly, an END to the War."

"The conditions for that will be negotiated between the two parties, as it can only be, because they know details of a negotiation that nobody else would be aware of," he added.

Putin, in a statement after the call, also noted that "a ceasefire with Ukraine is possible" but noted "Russia and Ukraine must find compromises that suit both sides."

Any concrete details on the nature of these compromises remain unclear, despite negotiation attempts in Turkey on Friday, which Trump suggested failed because he needed to negotiate with Putin first.

In the lead up to the talks, Trump spoke with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, along with other world leaders like UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer and French President Emmanuel Macron, who said they are discussed the urgent need for Putin to agree to an unconditional ceasefire or face serious repercussions including more sanctions.

Trump did not mention any threat of sanctions following the call or any agreement by Putin to an unconditional ceasefire.

Zelenskyy took to X following the call and said, "This is a defining moment. The world can now see whether its leaders are truly capable of securing a ceasefire and achieving real, lasting peace."

The ceasefire talks fell through after a Ukrainian delegation said it was presented with demands from the Russian delegation that were "unacceptable," including reported calls for the complete removal of Ukrainian troops from four Ukrainian regions that Russian illegally annexed in 2022, including Kherson, Donetsk, Luhansk and Zaporizhzhia.

The Russian delegation also allegedly demanded that the international community not only recognize the regions as now Russian, but cease aid to Ukraine, including plans to supply peace-keeping troops once the fighting concludes.

Trump said he immediately alerted not only Zelenskyy and Macron to the call, but also Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz and Finnish President Alexander Stubb – none of whom immediately responded to Fox News Digitals questions, nor have they pubically commented on the call.

Trump also claimed that "the Vatican, as represented by the Pope, has stated that it would be very interested in hosting the negotiations.

"Let the process begin," he added, though negotiations between Ukraine and Russia, mediated by the U.S., began months ago in March.

The Vatican also did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital's questions, though on Wednesday, Pope Leo XIV took to X and said, "The Holy See is willing to help enemies meet, so they may look each other in the eye and so people may be given back the dignity they deserve: the dignity of peace.

"With heart in hand, I say to the leaders of nations: let us meet; let us dialogue; let us negotiate!" he added.

Trump is trying to put pressure on both Russia and Ukraine of what was discussed and even contacted the Pope to play a role in negitations. Trump is not going to throw Ukraine uder the bus - but both Putin and Zelenskyy knows that if Trump take a stand on issues they better behave because if he thinks one or both are not playig ball - the outcome for them would be harsh and decisive and they don't want that to happen.

So before you start attacking Trump on the issue wait and see what happens over the next two weeks, ,

I gave/give the war another two years, until Puketin reminded everyone that Russia once spent 21 years at war with Sweden ( 1700 - 1721 )

Russia is a problem case - they have not lost a European War in 300 years - so they are going to be difficult to deal with, Trump is not going to stand for Putin's war psychology - he will - unlike the Biden shit force Russia into behaving themselves by being isolated totally from world trade with only one usuable habour over 9 000 kilomters from Moscow - namely Vladivostok on the Pacific Coast - so Rssia will not even be able to use the Dardanelles,

Putin himself said that Trump is an impossible person to negotiate with - he would only put the USA interest frst and will not move an inch from that position and the countries has to compromise or lose out. That is why the media in Russia supported Biden in the 2020 election and Harris in the 2024 election. For Russia both were regarded as corrupt shit and that is why he made cocessions because not doing so would hit Russia hard.

An example is the tariffs issue, You negotiate trade deals with the USA or face tariffs. So 90 countries got the message and deals are to be hammered out before the end of this year, China got the message and approach Trump to sign a deal which already has been completed and is subject to Congress apporval before being implemented,

The fact is he is in communication with the ME counries and got investment deals with the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Jordania and is new getting Syria in an effort to with the help of Turkey investigated in an effort to get Syria's help in getting rid of Hezbollah and Hamas and securing isolation of Iran. He punished the Houthi's and quickly taught them a lesson - stop terrorism or all your leaders will have to live permanently in bomb shelters which will be destroyed using mega-bombs,

The cases of Lebanon and Gaza are examples - Trump wants to obliterate Hezbollah and Hamas - and turned the two countrise into wshtLebanon was in teh1970's - when Beirut was regarded as he Paris in the ME - a trading baking center and major holiday resort, He wants the same to be done to Gaza to be administer by Jordan and becoming Dubai on the mediterranean and obviously got the enthusiatic support of the ME Gvernments srael will lose erritories - but pt under total USA protection

Unlike te shit spread on this site Trump is strong enough not to bend over for bribery and corrupton like Biden did in the cases of Ukraine, Iran and China. No more overflights over Taiwan by the Chinese Air Force and no more testing of missiless and nuclear bombs by North Korea - which stopped under Trump during his first term and resume days after Biden took over the Presidency. Countries like China, Russia and Iran knows the limits and wll never exceed those.

So BB despite all those hopes of extended war in Ukraine - it just would not happen. Putin nows he dared not do that way - end of story. The DP leadership in the USA got corrupt since 2000 and the FBI and Justice Department would do nothing about it and wars were a major source of corruption - with the Ukraine War the most corrupt war involvng the USA ever. So elements in the USA DP is actually actively promoting Trump's assassination like happened with Comey and in the two assassination attempts already by people linked to a subsidiary of Black Rock, Comey will be extremely lucky if he does not spent the rest his life in jail - which will not last a long time - jailed prisoners will get rid of him as ex-head of the FBI sooner than you think - they will put an 86 on him. He will go the Epstein route quickly.

Nothing will come from the so called negotiations, it's a sham, Putin is orchestrating the sham.

He wants war and will only be satisfied once he's flattened Kiev.

Of course you know that's not true. They where merely responding to Mike's garbage take on the matter. If there is a peace that ensures Ukraine's long term existence and doesn't encourage Russia to come back for more everyone would be for it.

I got 3 coments from BB, Denny and SB, All three hate Trump wothout even knwing what h e stands for. All three support the Ukraine War and from their past coments they want to extedn the War into WW3, All 3 believe he lies about a link between Trump and Putin started from lies of the Democrats going back o 2016, As Plum said the all want Trump to fail; because otherwise they have only issues thet know zero about to critcize him. The Democratic World want strong leaderdhip and the declining influece of the USA as a result of the lack of policy by the Biden Regie and utright mal;administration and corruption is no isue for them. All three base their arguments on real shit wothout knowing the backgtound leading to th e most corrupt war in the histor. All three believe in media shit - in most cases disproved for eyars no y various investigations - the outcome of which the media got wrong - so they did publish BS and never did anything to correct what they said, Even if they did three brainwashed ssite members did not beleve it,

When criics said that Biden is not fuctioning as Pesidnt they attack Trump but was looking foward to a further brainless idiot becomng Preident of the USA - as if Biden wa not enoug of both medical and mentl deficiecies, They did not realize that instability would result from poor ledership. Peronal attacks on me won't chnage that fact.

They wabnted wars and not peace in the world that could easily turn into World War 3 with the US Defense Force in serious decline and criminality in the USA vrtually dstroying the US Economy from within Government. that is the one thing they want and hope that they an get rid of Trump in the process, SB speak of th e EU being a factor in the World Econmoy after the elftists they support destroyed it from within a - just like the leftists tried to do in the USA.

So keep on trying and we can all see what hapens over the next 6 monhs as to he ls Trump wants to prevail by all rational people,

What's the point of attempting to negotiate with a monster who's totally unprepared to deliver any concessions whatsoever ............. Putin offers sweet vokall.

Trump's beyond a joke ... returns from the ME & the batshit manchild goes off on a tirade about Taylor Swift, Bruce Springsteen & how Walmart should 'eat the tariffs' .

United States of Autocracy

I've said it from the start, Putin was never interested in a negotiated peace, he didn't offer a single concession and because of his long list of demands there was never going to be a glimmer of hope for peace. Trump was damn bloody useless, all I want is peace he whimpered, so much for the Art of the Deal....what a laugh that one turns out to be. Putin and Kim Junk Pong, were playing him, they were doing high fives up at the Kremlin the more he boasted 'I get on well with Putin' .....sucked in they thought. And then he berated Zelensky in front of a world wide audience........didn't the Kremlin enjoy that one. Putin would have had that screened from Moscow to Siberia and everywhere else. Trump is more leaning to put Zelensky down, wanting him to give in to Putin's demands but gain nothing in return and thereafter claim credit if there's a peaceful outcome. It's all adding up to one word......Joke, his failure with North Korea, Iran, and now walking away from negotiations with Putin. Thy all played him for the fool he is.

To make matters worse, Rubio has come out and said it's best to keep Putin talking.....HUH?....what kind of thinking is that?????.....so what now, everyone should be grateful? Even though the murderer hasn't made an inch of a concession towards peace?

Well that’s a relief, at least Hysteria has stopped lowering Board standards by trying to opine on economics. Now she’s left with Trump, her only real interest apart from gambling on horses. And that of course is the surrogate for white on black racism….the thing which dominates her life and every thought she thinks.

Have you ever considered that Neanderthal Apartheid architects are still pulling your strings, in everything you say and do?

You read too much BS in the leftist press and they want Trump to fail in at least one of his programs - so far he has done in 4 months double that Biden did in 4 years in the WH, You have no idea what is being negotiated and you believe the media who knows about issues as much as you and I do - and use everythig they like for idealogical and propaganda purposes,

Well Moffie, I don't have your wealth, nor do I have your fleet of Ferrari's and a Bugatti, what I have gets me from point A to point B without the opulence. I don't eat at restaurants where a simple steak is over $1000 so I can't boast of throwing around loose change as you do. I also wouldn't take a photo of the menu to post on a rugby message board. It's classless.

I'm sure you understand our differences, mainly that you're wealthy and full of self importance and of course the countless times you've let everyone on here know how successful you've been, the amount of properties you own, the grandiose cars you own as well as having been CEO of a fortune 500 company.

I also wouldn't go pointing my finger at posters to remind them of who you are. That's classless as well.

So yes I do understand your mindset is very different to mine.

Go well now but I do hope you'll one day understand that there's a lot more to life than being an insecure show off on a rugby message board.
